Stewardship Reflection
Stewardship of Time & Talent
October 18, 2015, 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give
his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
If you held a mirror up to your life, would it reflect God’s love and
grace? If you are struggling with this, try changing your attitude from “I
want more” to “thank you God for everything you have given me, I have
enough to share.” This change in perspective will bring you joy through
service to others.
Stewardship Celebration St. Anne Church parishioners are invited to a
Stewardship Tailgate on Saturday, November 7
from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Deimel Field (football
field behind Visitation Hall). There will be food,
dancing and fun! We’ll be serving BBQ from
Country’s and the Knights of Columbus will
cook hot dogs. Meals are free, but registration
is required (no takeout meals, please). Register by November 2 online
at www.stannecsg.com or by calling the Parish Office at 706-561-8678.

Nursery
The Nursery is intended for
young children, ages 6 months to
4 years, not ready to participate
in Mass. It is available during
Saturday evening and Sunday
Masses. Parents who use the
Nursery are encouraged to
volunteer there once a month.
It takes a little behind-the-scenes work to make our liturgy a beautiful
experience! If you can offer one hour for one month of Saturdays a year
and aren't afraid of a little light cleaning, the Altar Society is the ministry
for you. Volunteers generally meet on Saturday mornings around
8 a.m., while some prefer to meet on Friday evenings after Adoration.
A team of three to four people help prepare the chapel and sanctuary
for Masses. Responsibilities include filling oil candles, light dusting,
cleaning the windows of the Training Room and changing altar cloths
when necessary. The Altar Society is open to all registered
parishioners. If you are interested, contact Director of Stewardship
Kimberly Kaup at 706-561-8678 or [email protected].

Gospel Meditation October 18, 2015
Like the apostles, you, too, are part of Jesus’ team. So
think about your role in His organization. How is He calling
you to serve? How can you make His kingdom more and
more successful in the world?

Solemnity of All Saints
November 2 is All Souls’ Day.
On this special day we remember
and pray for our faithful departed,

By praying for them and giving alms,
we can help their souls and speed
the purifying process. There will be a
special Rosary at 3 p.m. in the
Catholic section of Parkhill Cemetery

names of friends and loved ones and
fellow parishioners who have died in
the past 12 months will be read.
Join us as we remember the faithful
departed.
If you would like to honor your
deceased loved ones with a special
intention for All Souls’ Day,
envelopes are available on the table
in the commons area. Please PRINT
all information clearly and return
your intention envelope to the parish
office NO LATER THAN Noon on
Friday, October 23.

October 25, 2015 is
Priesthood Sunday. On this
special day, Catholics
everywhere join together in
praying for our priests, in
praising God for their courage and their generosity. It is
important to show our support for the sacredness of
Christ's priesthood and our thankfulness for good
priests who are there for us when we need them.
Please pray for our parish’s priests—Fr. McCarthy,
Fr. Jake, and Fr. Martin—and make your gratitude
personally known to them in some way to assure them
of your loving care and gratitude for their presence in
our lives and for faithfully serving our spiritual needs all
these years.
Growing in Grace
St. Anne-Pacelli 2nd graders are
celebrating the Month of the Holy
Rosary by bringing the Rosary to
life. The Rosary, in this case, is
made of students, with each
representing a bead. Meanwhile,
high school students are praying one decade of the
Rosary each day during their morning
announcements.
