Aurelia Cooper will be managing the school fees this year. Please direct any queries directly to Aurelia. An annual account will be issued and is due in full by the due date or by the instalment dates. It is important for all parents to know that St. Anthony’s stand ready to support all families, especially those for whom fees are a concern. Please contact the Principal, Greg Green or Aurelia Cooper whenever fees are a problem.

Families who would like a suggested amount calculated are asked to contact the school office. Please refer to the school fees policy for information regarding direct debits.

Full Family Details Data Sheet – The record of your child/ren’s ‘Full Family Details’ will be sent home with the Annual account. This is the most up to date details the school has on record. If required please make any changes to this sheet

SCHOOL PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AFTER HOURS

At the present time, children are playing on the school playground equipment after school. The school is considered private property and as the Principal of the school I am responsible for the welfare of any person on school premises. Under our Public Liability Insurance, there is a duty of care to provide a safe environment. If the school foresees possible problems, or potential claims, it is a condition under our Public Liability Policy to take “reasonable care and precautions to prevent personal injury and/or property damage.” If this reasoning is applied to the use of our playground equipment outside school hours, there is a cause for concern. I have been advised by Catholic Church Insurance to ban all children from playing on school playground equipment outside school hours even if parents or guardians are present. This is particularly relevant as we have our new nature play area in Pre-primary.

LUNCH ORDERING FOR 2020 (Wednesdays to Fridays ONLY)

PLEASE NOTE: CHANGE OF DATE

Dear Parents,

At the end of 2019 the leadership team met with Dr Shaun Ridley, Deputy Chief Executive Officer from the Australian Institute of Management in Western Australia to discuss a strategic plan for St Anthony’s School. In February, Dr Ridley will commence the facilitation of this process consisting of a series of 3 to 4, two-hour sessions with the Board, senior leadership team, staff, parents and other key stakeholders to identify the direction and strategic priorities for the school over the next few years.

Through Dr Ridley’s expertise and guidance, the leadership team will use the information gathered by stakeholders to produce a short document which can be used to guide decision making and focus resources on the most important areas for the School.

The five areas to be covered by the Plan:

1) Environmental Scan

• Areas of strength and weakness in comparison to other similar schools

• External issues that will arise in the next few years that may positively or negatively impact on the school’s ability to achieve its goals

2) Mission Statement 3) 4 Key Result Areas 4) 1 to 2 Strategies per Key Result Area 5) 1 to 4 Performance Measures per Key Result Area

I would like to take this opportunity to invite the Board, P&F and all interested parents in participating in this facilitated process to join Dr Ridley and the school staff on the Wednesday 11th March from 6.00pm – 8.00pm in the school hall. Please indicate your interest by emailing Aurelia ([email protected]) as we will be ensuring a light supper is provided from 5:30pm for those participating.
