BLESSED SACRAMENT ADORATION The adoration of the Blessed Sacrament offers us the opportunity to break through our daily routine and pause a while in the presence of Our Lord. Every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Blessed Sacrament is on the altar at St. Catherine Church. You are invited to take some time for peace and quiet to find strength to face daily challenges and to thank the Lord for his many blessings and constant love. Especially needed at this time are adorers on a regular basis as well as substitutes. If you are interested, please call Ed Foye at 624-1723. A BLESSING FOR CAREGIVERS May you see with tender eyes The wounds of those before you. May you hear with well-tuned ears The unspoken needs of those whose voices are muted. May you hold with gentle hands The bodies and the spirits of those you care for. May the beauty of soul, The strength of spirit, The wholeness of being Lead you, inspire you And let you know your own Beauty of soul, Strength of spirit, Wholeness of being. May you know that, As you care for others, God cares for you, sees you, Holds you tenderly. Amen.

We will be losing some of our long-serving altar servers and we are seeking new servers to assist with the weekend Masses. If interested, please contact the rectory at 622-4966. VOTIVE CANDLES You might have wondered why there are votive candles in front of Saints Mary, Joseph, and Catherine. We light a votive candle as part of our prayer, whether it’s a prayer of thanksgiving, intention for someone both living or deceased, or a prayer of praise to God, and that light represents our prayer that will continue long after we have left the Church and we have gone back to our daily routine. We state our prayer, and the candle represents our prayers being sought on behalf of the saint that we light the candle to. As we make our prayers, many people make a small donation for the prayers. All are welcome to use these candles, as a way to keep their prayers alive. FIRST READING: EZEKIEL 17:22-24 God will restore the kingdom of Judah, as symbolized by the cedar. The deed is emphasized by the words, “As I, the Lord have spoken, so will I do.” SECOND READING: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:6-10 Paul acknowledges “that we are, in a sense, away from the Lord while in this life and bound to our bodies.” We will be fully united with God in the next life, if we please him in this life.

GOSPEL: MARK 4:26-34 The reign of God is compared to a mustard seed which is the smallest of seeds yet grows to become the largest of shrubs. Similarly, God’s community grows gradually until it becomes large and strong.

KEEP KIDS SAFE – BOUNDARIES IN MINISTRY: USE TECHNOLOGY SAFELY Church personnel must take great care when communicating with minors via electronic means such as email, social media sites, or texting. Here are some rules to remember: Obtain permission from the pastor/principal and parents before communicating electronically * Do not use electronic means of communication with minors younger than high school age * Communicate with the entire group, not individual minors * Use official parish accounts * Copy parents on all communications * Keep all communications ministry-focused * Do not “friend request” minors to whom you minister * Keep copies of all messages and posts. For more information about child safety, visit www.catholicnh.org/safety THANK YOU This past year has been a challenging year for all of us in one way or another. It has taken a great toll on our strength and will power. We have experienced great loss within our community, in our families due to death, along with a rise in despair and discouragement over the year. Even during these trying times, we as a community have been able to strive to meet the needs of our people, by providing a place of refuge within the Church. The Church has been open every day for private prayer, the staff where here to assist in what ways they could, and once things began to open, it has taken an army of volunteers to help maintain a welcoming worship environment in trying times. I want to thank personally, all of those who helped behind the scenes to sanitize and clean the Church after each Mass, those who welcomed people as they arrived to Church, those who volunteered to assist at the liturgies as Altar Servers, Lectors, Musicians, Ushers, Sacristans and Eucharistic Ministers. I am grateful for all of you, for your perseverance and assistance for making our Community a place of prayer, worship, and fellowship even during uncertain times. As we continue to move forward, I pray that we all will continue to invite and welcome new people to our community, and welcome old friends back as we seek out the healing love of our Heavenly Father and share together in the Eucharistic Celebration together. May God truly bless us as a community, and continue to hold each of us, in the palms of His hands. ~ Fr. Chris LITURGY UPDATE Bishop Libasci has rescinded most of the precautions that were put in place due to Covid-19, except for the Presentation of the Gifts, Sign of Peace, and Reception of Communion under the Precious Blood. Masks are optional and are up to the personal preference of the individual. All are asked to be respectful of the space that one another might need, even though social distancing requirements have been lifted. The area by the tabernacle will remain a place where social distancing will be offered.
