And although we ought, at all times, humbly toacknowledge our sins beforeGod; yet oughtwe chiefly so to do,whenwe assemble andmeettogether to render thanks for the great benefits that we have received at his hands, to set forthhismostworthypraise, tohear hismost holyWord, and to ask those thingswhichare requisite

For the LORD is a | great God;and a great | King above all gods.

In his hand are all the corners | of the earth;and the strength of the | hills is his also.

The sea is his, | and he made it;and his hands pre- | pared the dry land.

O come, let us worship and | fall down,and kneel before the | LORD ourMaker.

For he is the | Lord our God;and we are the people of his pasture, and the | sheep of his hand.

O worship the LORD in the | beauty of holiness;let the whole earth | stand in awe of him.

For he cometh, for he cometh to | judge the earth;and with righteousness to judge the world, and the | people with his truth.

Glory be to the Father, and | to the Son,and | to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and | ever shall be:world | without end. Amen.

Say to God, “How wonderful are your works; *through the greatness of your power shall your enemies cower before you.

For all the world shall worship you, *sing to you, and praise your Name.”

O come and see the works of God, *how wonderful he is in his doing toward all people.

He turned the sea into dry land, so that they went through the water on foot; *therefore in him let us rejoice.

He rules with his power for ever; his eyes keep watch over the nations; *let not the rebellious exalt themselves.

Bless our God, you peoples, *and make the voice of his praise to be heard,

Who holds our soul in life, *and does not allow our feet to slip.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost:*As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Here beginneth the Ninth Verse of the Ninth Chapter of Zechariah.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Behold, your king is coming to you;righteous and having salvation is he,

humble and mounted on a donkey,on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I will cut off the chariot from Ephraimand the war horse from Jerusalem;

and the battle bow shall be cut off,and he shall speak peace to the nations;

his rule shall be from sea to sea,and from the River to the ends of the earth.

As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you,I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.

Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;today I declare that I will restore to you double.

Here endeth the First Lesson.

we are his people, and the | sheep of his pasture.

O go your way into his gates with thanksgiving,and into his | courts with praise;

be thankful unto him, and speak | good of his Name.

For the LORD is gracious, his mercy is | everlasting;and his truth endureth from generation to | generation.

Here beginneth the First Verse of the Fourteenth Chapter of the Gospel According toJohn.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe inGod; believe also inme. Inmy Father's house aremany rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?Andif I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that whereI am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him,“Lord,wedonotknowwhereyouaregoing.Howcanweknowtheway?” Jesus said tohim,“Iam the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except throughme. If youhad known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know himand have seen him.”

Philip said tohim, “Lord, showus theFather, and it is enough forus.” Jesus said tohim, “HaveI beenwith you so long, and you still do not knowme, Philip?Whoever has seenme has seenthe Father. Howcan you say, ‘Showus the Father’?Do you not believe that I am in the Fatherand the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, butthe Fatherwho dwells inme does hisworks. Believeme that I am in the Father and the Fatheris in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

“Truly, truly, I say to you,whoever believes inmewill also do theworks that I do; and greaterworks than thesewill he do, because I am going to the Father.Whatever you ask inmy name,this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you askme anything inmy name,I will do it."
