Economic Impact SJA provides free First Responders services to groups in and
around Prince George.
Industry Standard costs are approximately $30 per person hour for a Level 3 First Aid attendant
For a mobile treatment unit the approximate hourly rate is $125
Additional charges apply for each service rendered
In 2015 SJA Prince George provided approximately 2608 person hours which represents $78,240 in free service to the community –This calculation does not include CWG
Economic Impact of Mobil First Response Unit - Ambulance Search & Rescue is called out on approximately 30 times per
year Most call outs require first responder present at the command
post to meet health and safety requirement BC Ambulance or a First Aid company is able to fill this roll, the
cost for 4 hours is between $700 and $3000 If SJA hand a mobile first response unit we could fill this roll as
part of our mandate. We would not charge for our services, but we would accept a donation
Economic Impact of Mobil First Response Unit - Ambulance Emergency Social Services Constitutes a catastrophic event like the Bobtail Lake Fire SJA assists at these events by providing a presence at the event
reception centre. SJA does not charge for these services, but they do accept
donation.
Our Goals• SJA Division 803 is launching a 12 month
fundraising campaign to purchase a mobile first response unit.
• Cost of the unit is $50,000• Mobile First Response Unit• Supplies inside• Insurance for a year• Getting the vehicle to Prince George• Decaling of the vehicle
• We would like to ask the city to make a contribution to this project in the form of $5000
