Fun With Threads Fun With Threads is for children aged 5 to 17 years. Visitors are welcome to try it out but to continue must join the Young Embroiderers section of the Embroiderers’ Guild. Membership is £10 per year per child. The session fee is £4 per child which is likely to increase in early 2013. This group usually meets on the first Saturday of the month at St John’s Community Centre from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. To find out more, contact Sheila Underwood at [email protected] or 020 8568 7642.

Isleworth and District Branch
Programme 2012-2013
From the Branch Cloak entered into South East Region Jubilee Wearable Art competition in July 2012
The Isleworth & District branch is part of the South East Region of the Embroiderers’ Guild, along with 22 other branches in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. All the regular Branch activities are held at St John’s Community Centre, 80 St John’s Road. Isleworth TW7 6RU unless otherwise stated. The Branch Subscription is £50 per year of which £25 is passed to Embroiderers’ Guild. For Life Members of the Guild, or members for whom Isleworth is a second branch, the subscription is £25 as their headquarters contribution has already been paid.
Monthly Meetings These meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of the month (except December) from 7.30 to 9.45 pm. Our programme for the coming year is on the opposite page. Contact Mollie Kingham at [email protected] or 020 8979 8053.
Saturday Workshops The workshops on a Saturday from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Costs vary but typically are around £25 plus materials. Participants must bring their own lunch or buy it locally. Details are shown on the opposite page. Contact: Mollie Kingham at [email protected] or 020 8979 8053.
Monday Group Mondays from 1.00 – 4.00 pm. Practical classes in design and stitch. £70 for an eleven week term, four sessions with the tutor Sandra Hurll. Contact: Hazel Lyell at [email protected] or 020 8847 5394.
Thursday Stitching Group This group meets on the second Thursday of the month from 7.30 to 9.30pm. Stitch and chat. £8 for 4 sessions or come as a visitor for £2 a session. For dates and more information contact Karen Thorp at [email protected].
