Each Year in the Diocese of Cleveland a special collection
is taken up in all parishes to support the Catechetical
Ministries of the Office of Catechetical Formation and
Education. Funding from this collection supports Newman
Campus Ministry, Adult Faith Formation, Media Literacy,
Parish Catechetical Leadership training and Catechist
Certification. This year the collection will be held this
weekend, May 10-11. A contribution to the Catechetical
Ministries is an investment in the faith formation and
religious education of every person of every age in the
Diocese. Please consider giving a gift to this very special
collection.

2:14-15) the sacred value of human life, from its very

2, 6, 7 & 8. We are also in need of morning and evening
volunteers who will help with a weekly craft station.
Preschool–grade 5 classes meet every Sunday from 9:30-
10:45am and Grades 6-8 meet every other Sunday from 6-
8:00pm. Make a difference...come join our team and be a

Father Ron’s Corner…
On Monday, 5/5 the Building Committee met to discuss the
presentation for our Town Hall meeting on 5/19. We are
happy to update the parish on the important addition to our
facility with a new Gym & Family Center. Please plan to
attend. It would be great if we could have a full gym for the
meeting.
The staff and Pastoral & Finance Councils continue to plan
for next year. We are working on the parish social calendar
for next year as well. My hope is to have it to you in early
July so you can mark your calendars for important and fun
dates for the year ahead. It will be in a format that will easily
hang on your refrigerator. If you are a group leader, please
make sure you contact Peggy Murphy in the office with your
dates. We would like to have every meeting and activity on
our calendar which can easily be viewed from our website.
I have added a bookshelf in the Sacred Heart Chapel so we
can have spiritual materials out for your reading at any time.
Remember that we have Adoration on Tuesdays and First
Fridays. You can also grab a book from the chapel and bring
it with you into the church and pray in front of the tabernacle
anytime from 7:00am to 4:30pm in summer months. If you
would like to join the adoration group, please call the parish
office.
Please pray for Scott Goodfellow as he makes his final
preparations for his ordination on Saturday, 5/17 at the
Cathedral at 10:00am, and celebrates a Mass of
Thanksgiving here on 5/18 at 2:30pm. Our parish is blessed
with many vocations to the priesthood and religious life over
the years. The diocese will be blessed by his ministry and
service. His first assignment will be as the parochial vicar at
Saints Robert and William in Euclid. Everyone is invited to
his Ordination, Mass of Thanksgiving and reception that
follows in St. Joseph Hall on Sunday afternoon. Remember
there is no Sunday Evening Mass that day.
May God continue to bless our parish community. I am
grateful to be your pastor.
Sincerely, Father Ron
