Why St. Joseph‟s?

The department currently offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree program in Civil Engineer-

ing following the Anna University curriculum.

The department has well equipped laboratory facilities and highly qualified faculty members with speciali-

zation in Structural Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Irrigation and Water re-

sources, Construction Technology and Transportation Engineering.

Good placement records since from the inception of the program .

Department of Civil Engineering received ―Teaching Awards in Engineering‖ by Staffordshire University,

UK and Education Matters for the year 2018-2019 for maintaining academic excellence.

St Joseph’s College of Engineering ranked 160 in Engineering Category in India Ranking 2020 under

National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD, Govt. of India

Completed projects of worth Rs.1.42 Crores that are received as grants from AICTE, NRB, DST,

DBT, NMRE, TNSCT etc., for carrying out research projects.

- 20 with an average pay band of 3.5 lakhs—10 lakhs CTC.

University, inaugurated the Student Chapter of Indian Concrete Institute in our Department and

delivered the lecture on “ADVANCES IN CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY”and Dr. S. ANNE LIGORIA,

Professor & Dean, Jerusalem College of Engineering, delivered the lecture on “3D PRINTING

TECHNOLOGY IN CONCRETE” in session-I.DR. K. CHINNARAJU, Associate Professor, Department

of Civil Engineering, CEG-Anna University, delivered the lecture “ADVANCES IN CONSTRUCTION

PRACTICES” in session –II.
