Make your list and check it twice! It's almost time for the 2019 St. Jude Craft Fair. For 34 years this annual event has been a holiday shopping tradition for many in the surrounding area. Bring your Christmas list and purchase unique handmade gifts for those special people in your life, while getting in the spirit of the Christmas season.

This year’s craft fair will host 100 vendors whose booths will be located throughout the St. Jude Parish Hall and Education Building. Some of the unique items for sale include the following: artisan jewelry, home décor, pottery, soy candles, crocheted items, baby clothes, toys, seasonal wreaths and centerpieces. Take a break from shopping and enjoy a homemade meal prepared by the Women of St. Jude. Try one of our famous baked potato lunches or enjoy one of our specialty soups.

Proceeds from the Craft Fair benefit the charitable works of the Women of St. Jude and include the Bereavement Ministry, student scholarships, speaker series, and workshops. Raffle tickets are sold for the raffle drawing which is held on Saturday, comprised of items donated by each craft fair vendor, with proceeds benefitting Sunshine & Rainbows, the preschool at St. Jude. So, in addition to getting a jump start on your Holiday Shopping, the proceeds of the Craft Fair help our community – such a wonderful way to share the spirit of the holiday season!

Mark your calendar and bring a friend for a festive day of shopping and dining!

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children's Mass will be on October 26, at the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass. This is a once a month special Mass during the school year where the Children's Choir sings , children do the readings, and carry the gifts to be offered.

For the month of October, the children are requested to offer various items that include 1-lb. bags of rice and beans, body lotion, Kleenex, and bar soap supplies for the unwed mothers home run by the Missionaries of Charity near St. James parish in Dallas. This activity is part of our We Care program which teaches the young children of our parish to practice the Corporal Works of Mercy.
