2 | WELCOME TO ST. LOUIS PARISH

The gifts we are given are given to us to be shared with others.

Our sharing for May 19 & 20:

Church Support $3,339.00 Loose 483.00 ACH Direct Giving 1,725.00

The sanctuary candle is burning this week in memory of Lorraine & Joseph Borley.

Please keep them in your prayers.

St. Louis’ goal for this year is $38,191. We have received todate $37,450 from 161 families. We’re so close! But still $741 short of our goal. If you have not yet contributed, please consider doing so. Any amount that we are short we will get billed for, so please help if you can.

Home Missions-Our Own NeedsThank you for your generous donations to the Our Own Needs collection. A total of $1,110.00 was collected.

People of God,

This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity. When we were baptized we were baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Every time we enter church and dip our hand into the holy water font and sign ourselves we are recalling our baptism into the triune God. A good reflection this week would be to think about how God has made a difference in our lives.

This weekend we also begin the official start of summer with Memorial Day weekend. I hope everyone has a safe and blessed weekend.

Pat

Congratulations to Jane & JimLeFevre who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend.

Congratulations to Barbara &Bob Stapleford who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Cookies for St. John’s ShelterPaul’s Pantry allows me to deliver basic food needs for the homeless at St. John’s but cookies do not qualify. I am now scheduling for next month. One batch of 6-10 dozen cookies per week would be wonderful! If you are interested, please call ahead and reserve a week. I will gladly pick them up and deliver them in your behalf.

Ice Cream Pails with Covers Needed! We are looking forCLEAN ice cream pails with covers for the to-go booyah. Please drop them off in the room behind the Scrip table.

Basket Mania: Let’s review the guidelines for preparing the theme baskets for the upcoming Festival:

No perishable food items please. Chocolate and fudge items can melt in the hot July weather. A gift certificate from one of our local candy stores would be a wonderful idea, allowing the “winner” to choose their favorite delights.

Cheese products can also melt in the hot July sun. Please include a Gift Certificate from one of our many local cheese factories. Again, the “winner” of the basket gets to choose their favorites.

The value of the basket should be a minimum of $75. Completed baskets can be delivered to the Parish

Office, Monday thru Friday 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM or to my home. Please call ahead (920) 371-0264.

And remember .... shopping with friends can be a lot of fun! Feel free to invite other church members or friends to “share” a basket.

Thanks for your continued support! Joey Joski

PLEASE!! We need your help! If you are moving, please call or email the office with your new address. We recently sent out two “bulk” mailings to allparishioners. Several notifications came back to us with the new address

information--however, we have to pay $0.59 for each one. That can add up; we are trying to keep costs down.

Also, if you have dropped your land line and are using cell phones, please give us those also, along with your email address if we don’t already have it. We’re asking a lot, aren’t we, but we’re trying to keep our records up to date.

The Religious Education Office - Please visit us on our Facebook page: St. Louis Religious Education or our web page: www.stlouisdyckesville.com.

Prayer Calendars for June - Please pick up a prayer calendar at either entrance and pray for our high school youth. Prayers are vital to everyone and especially for our teens as they are sharing their talents with all.

Parish Library Table - Check out all the resources available for Father’s Day, prayer, meditation, teens, and youth. Just sign them out and return them when you are finished. There are many more resources available in the Parish Center upstairs in the Library.

Church Bags - Check out the items in the church bags for little ones ages 3-7 that are located on hooks under the bulletin board in the County Line entrance and in the Gathering Area next to the bathroom hall.

Planet Green is ongoing. Bring in your used ink cartridges, cell phones and other small electronic gadgets; we receive money back for these. There is a box located at both entrances.

Aluminum Can Collection - Please consider turning in your aluminum cans at the Parish Center. We are collecting them for the Religious Education department. Just drop them off by the Parish Center behind the wooden wall.

Just a Reminder . . .If you or a family member are in a hospital or nursing home, please call the parish office so we can reach out to you/them with a pastoral visit. Due to privacy laws the hospitals and nursing

homes do not call unless they have explicit permission to do. It would help if you or a family member would contact the parish office (866-2410).

Parish Center Doors Are Always Kept LockedFor security reasons, the Parish Center doors are always locked. If you have items to drop off for the upcoming Parish Festival, you must make arrangements with either the Religious Education office (866-2842) or the Parish Office (866-2410) to have the doors opened for you.

Area Events:

Lessons from the Garden - “One is nearer to God’s heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth” is a common mantra for those who work the earth. Sr. Marla Clercx, ANG, an avid gardener, has blessed countless people in Northeast Wisconsin with the fruit of her vines and the work of her hands. This presentation will explore God’s creative process through gardening, drawing upon Scripture and the human experience of connecting with nature. Thursday, June 14, 6:30-8 PM; Norbertine Center for Spirituality at St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere.Cost: Free will offering (sugg. donation $5). Registration appreciated (920) 337-4315.

Summer Sunset Labyrinth Walk - The labyrinth is an ancient symbol of journey and spiritual renewal, a path of prayer. Walking the labyrinth can be experienced as a personal pilgrimage, where new insight, healing, and peace may be found. Walk the labyrinth at the Norbertine Center for Spirituality--a labyrinth based on the design within the Chartres Cathedral (AD 1220). For those new to the labyrinth, a brief presentation is offered at 6:15. Wednesday, June 20, 6:15 PM, optional presentation; 6:30-7:30 PM labyrinth walk (rain or shine). Cost: Free will offering (sugg. donation $5). Registration appreciated (920) 337-4315.
