STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY SERVICE November 24, 2013 ,
10:00am
Beloved:
Following recent tradition, Stewardship Sunday will include youth
led worship and the preparation of a stone soup. This is the day
that pledge cards will be distributed together with the 2014
budget. There will be a single service at 10:00am on the 24th, fol-
lowed by a meeting and soup. There will be plenty to talk about.
I ask that the cards be returned the following week, the
first Sunday of Advent at both services.
In Christ

Baskets
Each year St. Luke’s
provides the ele-
mentary schools
with food baskets
for their needy students. This year
we will do 10 baskets. A list is
posted on the office door with the
items needed and the amount.
Monetary donations will allow us
to purchase items that have not
been donated and helps reduce
duplications. We will be happy to
accept “green” donations and do
the shopping for you. All contri-
butions are needed by Nov.
21st. Please be as generous as you
can.
Baskets will be assembled on
Sunday, November 24th, follow-
ing Stone Soup.
Attention Children,
Youth, and Parents
Sunday, November 24
will be youth Sunday at St. Luke’s,
with our children and youth taking
over many liturgical duties. There
will be only one service at 10:00
a.m. The children and youth will
present a program at the time nor-
mally set aside for the sermon, as
well as assuming the responsibility
for reading scripture lessons, sing-
ing, and serving as ushers. We will
also be making “Stone Soup” for
the congregation to enjoy after the
service. More details will be forth
coming regarding the stone
soup. If you are interested in par-
ticipating in this joy filled activity,

Save the Date!!!
November 21, 7:00-9:00pm, for the Silent Auction.
A lot of people are working very hard to make this a great occasion
and it should be a lot of fun. There are also some wonderful dona-
tions that we will be selling to raise $ for the water purification sys-
tem for Cuba and Fielés á Jesus . Many of you have already been
asked to help out and we appreciate all you are willing to do. If you
haven’t been asked yet, but you would like to participate please let me
know ASAP and we will put you to work!
All of you who have said you wanted to donate something for the
Auction, please have them in my office during the first week of No-
vember if possible. Now the big push is to advertise for the auction.
We need a lot of people to come buy all these great things. We have
a Mountain Retreat, jewelry, restaurant coupons, bowling coupons,
Gator and Seminole items, very nice dishes and a host of other
things that would make great Christmas gifts, especially the things
coming from our friends in Cuba. See you there and please invite all
of your friends to come too.
Condolences to the
Family and Friends of
Diana Blay,
On her passing
on October 18, 2013.
