St. Mary’s will host a Mass of Remem-brance for all parish and family members who have passed this past year on November 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. This Mass honors parish members who have
passed and family of parish members who have passed. The Mass is open for all to attend. We try to maintain records for all family members that have passed and send out an invitation to those family mem-bers. Invitations went out this past week. If you didn’t receive an invitation to attend the Mass, and want your family member honored and included, please call Mary Cadwell at 318-426-0952.
November 1st is the feast of All Saints and a holy day of Obligation. Masses will be at 8:30 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.

Thank you for everyone that came out and helped at the Red River Revel. Total profit to St. Mary’s is $3,868.
There is chicken, shrimp and curly fries left over if anyone would like to purchase. The chicken is $20 a bag, the shrimp is $15 a box, and the fries are $10 a bag. These will be sold from Ed’s Place after weekend Masses October 27th. Please make the checks payable to St. Mary of the Pines. St. Mary’s has a long tradition with the Red River Revel. For St. Mary’s to continue this tradition, a new Committee Chairperson will need to come for-ward. Please contact Steve Cadwell at 318-426-9818 or the Parish Office at 687-5121.
St. Joseph Seminary Come and See Weekend
Calling all young men! Have you ever thought you might be called to be a priest? Not sure if seminary life is right for you? Come and See! The Diocese of Shreveport wants to take you on an all-expense paid trip to see what seminary life is like and help you discern God’s call. The Black Catholic Committee of St. Mary of the Pines would like to thank everyone who supported & volunteered for our “Silent Auction Fundraiser”. We raised $2,331.00 in one day. It was
successful because of your generosity and efforts to benefit our church parish. The 2019 generous commit-tee members included: Roishene Johnson, Elmira Trammelle, Frances Antoine, Jocelyn George, Elea-nor Pichon, Linda S. Jones, Mary Cezar, Wanda Mullone, Sam Gilliam, and Greg Hamilton. The gra-cious volunteers were: Sylvia Rachal, Cindy McGown, Janice Hopkins, Ceara Johnson, & Paula Gonzales.
Magnificat Brunch with Pam Duplantis Men and women are invited to Magnificat’s Fellowship & Brunch, Saturday, Nov. 9th from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Catholic Center, 3500 Fairfield Ave. Our speaker is Pam Duplantis. Pam grew up with a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mother. After hearing & responding to the call by the Blessed Mother to go to her and her Son in Medjugorie, the transformation be-gan in Pam. Come hear how she has allowed God to transform her into the beautiful, spirit-filled women she is today. Tickets are $15 per person. Check should be mailed to Magnificat Nowela Chapter, P.O.
