Message from Father John
St. Thomas’ and St. Alphonsa’ Thirunal! We proudly celebrate two Great Feasts together: ST. Thomas is our Father in Faith and St. Alphonsa is our beloved sis-ter of our own Syro Malabar Church. To celebrate these two feasts, is a privilege and honor for all the members of the Syro Malabar Church. Without diminishing the importance of any of these two saints we cele-brate it together very solemnly and proudly on Sunday July 2, 2017. The novena in prep-aration for these Thirunal starts on Friday evening with Kodiyett, Ladeenju and Qurbana.
I have invited Fr. Ligory Johnson Philips, our former Vicar, and all other priests from our neighborhood and friendship as well. Many will be attending; some have already commu-nicated their inconveniences and prior commitments as well! Please invite your friends from other communities and friendship as well, to join us for the Thirunal.
I was really impressed and happy to see that all the Novena dates are sponsored already, by our Families and our Youth. Let us all come together to celebrate it with great im-portance and sincere participation with all our families and members as well.
Summer schedule of Sunday Masses: First Mass at 9 AM; 2nd Mass at 11:30 AM St. Thomas’ and St. Alphonsa’s Thirunal will be celebrated together on July 2nd Sunday at 4PM. Novena starts on Friday June 23rd with “Thirunal Flag hoisting (‘Kodiyett’). Monday – Thursday, Mass will be in the evening at 7:30 PM Thanks John Achan
