The Eighth Annual Saint John Vianney Luncheon for the support of our retired priests is scheduled on Friday, October 26th, 2018 at 11:30 Saint Mary’s Cathedral. This is a most enjoyable event and raises much needed funds for the care of many retired priests, who have served in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. With a special tribute to Monsignor James T. Tarantino for his role in establishing the Priests Retirement Luncheon. RSVP & Ticket Required.

Saint John Vianney Luncheon for Retired Priests
Our second collection this weekend is to support our retired priests. It will help ensure the Priests’ Retirement Fund stay healthy and hearty and continues to provide minimal monthly pensions as well as health insurance to our retired priests. Please show your gratitude to those priests who have cared for an ministered to you by prayerfully reflecting on how you can best help support our priests’ retirement with a gift to the Priests Retirement Fund special collection. La segunda colecta de este fin de semana es para el apoyo al Fondo de Retiro de los Sacerdotes. Su generosidad será un signo de gratitud por todos esos sacerdotes que han servido al Señor. Cada año en el condado de San Mateo alrede-dor de 800 niños entran a formar parte del Sis-tema de la Corte Juvenil debido a abuso y mal-trato de sus padres. En algunos casos estos niños son separados de sus hogares mientras la familia recibe servicios para solucionar su situación. Estos niños nece-sitan de tu apoyo y cariño mientras pasan por esta difícil situación. Por medio del programa CASA, tú puedes ayudar a uno de estos niños a sentirse mejor donando un poco de tu tiempo visitando a estos niños una vez por semana al lugar donde son llevados. Los voluntarios CASAs también apoyan a los profesionales que trabajan en los casos de los niños ayudán-doles a entender mejor la situación al igual que sus necesidades. Rosary Rally at St. Mary’s Cathedral. This year’s theme is “Accompaniment of Youth 2018.” The day starts at 9:00 am with a gathering and recitation of the Most Holy Rosary. At 10:00 am, the Young People's Rosary Rally Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Sal-vatore Cordileone, followed at 11:30 am by a Eucharistic Procession around Cathedral Hill and Renewal of the Con-secration of the Archdiocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Crowning Ritual of the Cathedral Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe; and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
