Word of the Week - Water Summer Term (No 11) Friday 6th July 2018
St Matthias School Newsletter
www.st-matthias.hackney.sch.uk
Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a really busy week for us! Most of our classes have been to the Bernie Grant Arts Centre for the Punch-drunk performances. They were lucky enough to watch a thought– provoking performance of one of our favourite empathy stories; ‘Grandpa’s Island’. Both pupils and teachers were mesmerised by the beautiful performances. We would like to thank Ms Henry and the PTA for putting on a wonderful party for our Year 6 children this year. It was a lovely way of saying goodbye to our Year 6’s but also thank you for their contributions that have benefitted us all– they have been a truly wonderful year group. We wish a very restful weekend.

Thank you all for your well– wishes and kind
words of encouragement. She is very
appreciative of them all and it shows some
of the best bits about our school!

the meetings.

School Dinner/Packed Lunch September 2018
Due to our new cashless system being
implemented from September, your child will
no longer be able to have school dinner one
day and packed lunch another day. You will
have to decide whether your child has school
dinner or packed lunch for the whole of the
half term. Please discuss this with your child
and let us know in September what you
decide. You will be able to change your mind
each half term. Please call the office if you
have any questions.
Please read attached letter carefully!
