Fire and safety prevention at st. Michael’s -Help Us Keep Fire
Doors Closed - We are asking everyone that sees a door blocked
open to close it please.
Parking around the church
First person to arrive—please start parking diagonally on the
west side roadway (rectory drive way to the old vault). Please do not
park on the church side behind these vehicles. The snow is now piled
-up and is very narrow for vehicles to pass through. It is the hope
that this will solve that problem and may even create a few extra
parking spots.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, MARIAN HOUR OF PRAYER
You are invited to join the Knights of Columbus, B.M. Broderick Coun-
cil 1219 as they fulfil a Marian Hour of Prayer service. The theme for
2014, is the Immaculate Conception. The hour of Prayer will be held
in Saint Michael’s Basilica and begin directly following the 4PM mass
on February 15th, 2014. An Icon will be present and booklets will be
provided so all can easily participate in the prayer service.
Tax receipts
Tax receipts are available in the Bishop Roger’s Chapel (Vestry)
before and after Mass on the weekends.

Parish workshops
A series of workshops are going to be held throughout February for
all our Liturgical Committees. We are asking that volunteers sea-
soned or new to attend.
Workshop for counters
All counters are asked to attend one of the two workshops being held
on Tuesday, February 11. You can choose between either 1:30pm or
7:00pm. The workshops are being facilitated by
Father Fraser and Gena Skidd and Patricia Lee.
Please meet in the parish centre.

Workshop for Eucharistic Ministers
All Eucharistic Ministers are asked to attend one of the two
workshops being held on Tuesday, February 18. You can
choose from either 1:30pm or 7:00pm. The workshops are
being facilitated by Father Fraser and Gerard Doucette. Please
meet in the main church. New volunteers are welcome.
Workshop for bereavement
The Bereavement Workshop is being held on Thursday, Febru-
ary 20 at 1:30 pm. Please meet in the Parish Centre, Room 1.
Workshop for ushers
All Ushers are asked to attend a workshop on Tuesday, March
4 at 1:30 pm. Please meet in the Vestry following daily Mass.
Regional News Holy Hour for Life will be held every Friday at 3 pm at
St. Samuel’s Church in Douglastown.
Schizophrenia Society Are you concerned about the mental health of a family mem-
ber? A friend? Someone in your care? If so, contact the SSNB
office at 622-1595 to register for Strengthening Families

The truth and responsibility of human sexuality
Video sessions on parental guidance to instruct parents or
grandparents the “Truth and Responsibility of Human Sexuali-
ty”, will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at
St. Michael’s Parish Centre. For more information contact

St. Mary's Parish Annual Valentine Card Party will be held on February 10th, at 7 pm in the Parish Centre (360 Newcastle Blvd.). Come out and enjoy a night of Bridge, Auction or Crib-bage and prizes with a light lunch to follow. Admission $5.00. Proceeds go to St. Mary’s Religious Education. Everyone Wel-come!

In celebration of New Brunswick Heritage Week, Bishop Robert Harris invites everyone in the diocese to attend Celebrating our Heritage on Sunday, February 16, 2014, 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Architect and art historian, John LeRoux, will present “Heritage Buildings in New Brunswick’s History: The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.” Lt.-Gov. and Mrs. Graydon Nicholas will be in attendance. Musical performances will feature: The Cathedral Choir | Édith Butler | The Bravura Baritones | Barbara Sacobie | Celtic Fiddlers |Rachel Kidd | Cantabile| Korean Youth Or-chestras | and Traditional Maliseet Music by Nuhkomossok.
