Now can you underline the nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs in your sentences. Choose a different colour for each. Wednesday: Using apostrophes to combine words. Then try subtracting from 987. Wednesday: LO- Efficient addition and subtraction methods. Generate two numbers, then add or subtract the two numbers mentally. Check your answer using a written method. Try to do 3 add and 3 subtract different calculations. Find a solid, liquid and gas at home and draw a picture of each. Next to each picture explain the particle formation in each state.

Can you create a storyboard or comic strip of the main events from a story you have read?

You can use apostrophes to show that you have omitted (left out) some letters when you are joining words together. For example, you can join the words ‘you’ and ‘are’ together. You + are = you're. The apostrophe takes the place of the removed letters. In this example, the letter a. Join these words together - remember the apostrophe

Thursday: Using apostrophes to show possession. An apostrophe can be used to show that one thing belongs to or is connected to something. This is called a possessive apostrophe. E.g. The cat’s tail. The dog’s bowl. Rewrite these sentences using apostrophes e.g. The bone belonging to the dog. = The dog's bone.

Music- Rhythm and percussion Rhythm is the pattern of long and short sounds as you move through the song. Turn the radio on and clap along to the words of a song. Tap along to the words using a pan and wooden spoon. Make up a playground clapping song using long and short claps. RE- The Month of Ramadan In many countries across the world, giving children ‘Eidi’ or gift money is a popular custom during Ramadan. Use a plain white envelope and decorate it brightly with colours and sequins. Be sure to write ‘Eid Mubarak’ in large letters in the middle. The envelope traditionally has a small amount of money placed inside and given to a child. PE Joe Wicks, AKA The Body Coach, has released a series of videos for children to get active at home. Prepositions can tell you where a noun is in relation to something else and they can also tell you when something happened in relation to something else. E.g. After walking for miles she rested on a hill. Write five sentences about the room using a different preposition in each sentence. (The book belonging to more than one girl - girls is a plural noun that ends in an "s" so you don't add another "s" after your apostrophe. You can just add an apostrophe to show the book belongs to the girls) Plural nouns that don’t end in an s - The children’s toys. (Children is a plural noun but it doesn't end with an "s" so you need to add an apostrophe and "s" to show that the toys belong to the children.)
