17th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

This Parish exists to carry out the mission of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Earth. By our participation in the Holy Mass, the perfect act of worship, the saving power of Jesus is

realized in our individual lives, families, communities and in the world. Our outreach helps extend the reign of Jesus into all the dark corners of the world. As we gather as a family here in this holy place we experience a foretaste of our own destiny…Heaven! If you are a visitor,

welcome! If you are a returning member, welcome home! We are really glad you’re here. And remember, YOU are passionately loved by Jesus Christ!

Please turn in all 2006-2007 dates for the Parish Calendar to the Church office before August 15th. It is imperative that we have your information by the 15th of August to ensure it will be included on the Parish Calendar. This Calendar is used for Parish events, in part, to help minimize the occurrence of double booking of the Parish Facilities. WE WELCOME Rev. Emmett Coyne this weekend from Cross International Catholic Outreach. Parishes in underdeveloped countries represent more than an important source of spiritual truth for their community. They also stand as a beacon of hope for impoverished families who have nowhere else to turn for help. Come and hear how we can make a difference in the lives of our least brothers and sisters in the Third World. YOUR year to join the Choir? - The Choir will resume rehearsals in August on the 21st, 2006. Every year, someone says they wish they had known when the Choir started back. Well, NOW’s the time !!!!! The Choir rehearses weekly on Monday evenings, leads music at Liturgy once or twice a month and most Holy Days, as well as Christmas Midnight Mass and Easter Vigil. The Choir is one of the most dedicated ministries in the church and the members commit to the weekly rehearsals and scheduled dates from the beginning of the season until the end. If you cannot commit to the entire year, please consider from August through December, 2006 or wait and join from January through May, 2007. The Choir has a wonderful, new, rehearsal room and the only catch is…..you must be able to sing……..in key. We hope you will join us if you have been waiting for the invitation. For any additional information or questions, please contact Janet Rubino through the church office or the website.
