For a Special Intention
In the Ordination Rites, those to be ordained are asked to make a promise of Obedience to the Bishop and his successors. Following the commitment of the Candidate, the Bishop responds: May God who has begun the good work in you bring it to fulfillment!
Change has always been part of the lives of clergy and religious. Believe it or not, I am not a great fan of change. Once comfortable with a situation, I am more likely to resist the need for change. Yet, in order for the church to respond to the many needs of the community, change is necessary. At those times when it is difficult to face change, I remind myself of the words of Jesus that we are called to be the servant of all.
Throughout the history of St. Patrick Parish, there have been many changes among those who have been sent to serve this community. And it is quite evident that each priest, deacon or religious sister has been welcomed warmly at their arrival and truly missed when called to serve another community.
Next Sunday we, as a parish community, again face the challenges that come with change, as we bid farewell to Fr. Arul, who has served the people of St. Patrick so well. At his Ordination in May 1990, Fr. Arul heard the words: May God who has begun the good work in you, bring it to fulfillment!
Let us pray that the people at St. Norbert will rejoice in the good works and faith that Fr. Arul brings to them. May the Lord continue to bless him as he serves the people of the parish.
As Fr. Arul responds to the needs of his community, there are also some other changes in our parish community. Deacon David arrived at the parish last Saturday afternoon, to begin his final year of preparation for Ordination to the Priesthood. There will be two new priests who will become part of our parish community; arriving on Monday, June 18th.
• Fr. Andrew Labatorio C.I.C.M. – a Missionhurst priest who will be replacing Fr. Arul, assisting in the pastoral ministry of our parish
• Fr. Mark Cavara – who will be in residence at St. Patrick, while his full time work will be at Archbishop John Carroll High School
Let us rejoice and give thanks for those who answer the call to serve the people of God! Let us continue to pray for our parish community, may the Spirit guide us in our service of one another.
God Bless You! Father Redcay
New Director of Liturgical Music
We are pleased to announce that Mr. William Norman
has accepted the position of Director of
Liturgical Music at St. Patrick Parish
and will begin his ministry on
July 1st. A life-long Catholic, he has
been involved with music ministry for
many years, as an accompanist for
various parishes. Most recently he directed a small
choir at a Methodist Church in Collegeville.
In conversations with Bill, he has indicated often that he
doesn’t see this solely as a job, but rather an opportunity
to become part of the St. Patrick Parish Community. We
look forward to welcoming Bill to our Parish Community.

Building and Appeal Update…. Our Growing Together as a Family of Faith Appeal is gaining momentum as we
prepare for our growing community. The work on the New Parish Offices is progressing. The workers have been working quickly. As you can see from the street, the siding has been completed, along with the installation of gutters and drain spouts. Inside the drywall has been finished, the new stairs installed and heating, electric and plumbing are in final stages. This week work
has been done on the front porch and ramp entrance to the office. As we move forward it is
our hope that the offices will be open by early fall. We will also have an Open House soon after we have
everything ready. The preliminary work for the second and third phases of
our project is also underway. We will keep you updated as we progress. Thank you for your continued generosity
and financial support. We recently reached the 53% mark of our goal.
