Quotes on Eucharistic Adoration from the Saints “The Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life,” as quoted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. In the Blessed Sacrament, we encounter Our Lord - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. In brief, the Eucharist is the sum and summary of our faith: "Our way of thinking is attuned to the Eucharist, and the Eucharist in turn confirms
our way of thinking.” While our busy schedules may keep us from attending daily Holy Mass, Our Lord still waits for us in the tabernacle. The Saints share their thoughts and experiences on Eucharistic Adoration: “This is the wonderful truth, my dear friends: the Word, which became flesh two thousand years ago is present today in the Eucharist.” - St. Pope John Paul II “Many people nowadays say, ‘I wish I could see His shape, His appearance, His clothes, His sandals.’ Only look! You see Him! You touch Him! You eat Him!” - St. John Chrysostom “When you look at the crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you then. When you look at the Sacred Host, you under-stand how much Jesus loves you now.” - St Teresa of Calcutta “Good friends find pleasure in one another’s company. Let us know pleasure in the company of our best friend, a friend who can do everything for us, a friend who loves us beyond measure. Here in the Blessed Sacrament, we can talk to Him straight from the heart.- St. Alphonsus de Liguori “When you have received Him, stir up your heart to do Him homage; speak to Him about your spiritual life, gazing upon Him in your soul where He is present for your happiness; welcome Him as warmly as possible, and behave outwardly in such a way that your actions may give proof to all of His Presence." - St. Francis de Sales "If we but paused for a moment to consider attentively what takes place in this Sacrament, I am sure that the thought of Christ's love for us would transform the coldness of our hearts into a fire of love and gratitude."- St. Angela of Foligno “How I loved the feasts!.. I especially loved the processions in honour of the Blessed Sacrament. What a joy it was for me to throw flowers beneath the feet of God! I was never so happy as when I saw my roses touch the sacred Monstrance.-St. Therese
