SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM: The Sacrament of Baptism is administered monthly. Arrangements are made in advance at the Rectory. Sponsors must provide proof of eligibility by a letter from their respective pastors, and must have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation. Parents attend a Pre-Jordan meeting prior to Baptism, which is arranged at a mutually convenient time.

SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE: Arrangements must be made with the pastor at least six months before the date of the wedding. Pre-Cana instructions are required. Couples rather than parents or wedding coordinators should contact the church. If either party was previously married, an annulment must be granted prior to the selection of a future wedding date.

Dear Parishioners: Here are a few updates about what’s happening in and around the church community: Fr. Yvon Tremont - He was delayed one month getting

his visa for St. Lucia. Therefore, his new departure date for his missionary assignment will be August 3rd. Fr. Yvon has been a true gift in the life of our Redemptorist community and parish. We will be able to have a celebration of appreciation to express our thankfulness and extend our best wishes on Sunday, July 30th after the 9:30 am. and 11 am. Masses in the Atrium. Please come and join us! Christoph Siepen - He is the young, German college student that has been a volunteer here in our Catholic School and Church since the first week of September. His year is quickly drawing to a close and he will be returning to his home in Bonn on August 2nd. He has been a wonderful addition to our ministry team and will be greatly missed. An opportunity to say goodbye and extend our best wishes in his future studies will be on Sunday, July 30th. Main Parking Lot - The excavation in the back parking lot needed to be a bit more extensive than originally planned. The pit for the new school elevator had 2 significant issues. All of the plant electrical conduit happened to run through the corner where the school and old convent come together, thereby, necessitating a much larger hole to be dug so that ALL of the electrical lines and geothermal pipes for the school and church can be relocated outside the sight for the new elevator shaft. Crews have also begun to install a fire suppression system in the school building and convent, which never existed in either building. This work will continue throughout the summer. Atrium Plants - We continue to have difficulty with people stealing green plants from the beautiful atrium indoor garden planters. Some thieves will actually take the plant, place it in a bag to take to their car, and then return to go to communion. Please help us in stopping those who cannot seem to make a connection between their faith, personal morals, and their actions. Please … “If you see something…say something!” In addition, there is a No Soliciting policy in the church and in the prayerful space of our Atrium. Giving our “regulars” money… only makes them more and more dependent upon us (you), and will not help them… help themselves. We help those who are in need, not those with a different “tale” every day/week. 175th Anniversary - Please consider placing a memorial ad for your family or a particular family member (living or deceased) in the parish Cont’d p.2

Queridos Feligreses: Esta es una actualización de lo que está sucediendo en y alrededor de la comunidad de la iglesia: Padre Ivon Tremont – Su

Visa para Santa Lucia fue retrasada por un mes. Por lo tanto, la nueva fecha de partida para su asignación misionera será el 3 de agosto. El Padre Yvon ha sido un verdadero regalo en la vida de nuestra comunidad Redentorista y parroquia. Habrá una celebración de reconocimiento para expresar nuestro agradecimiento y mejores deseos el Domingo, 30 de julio después de las Misas de 9:30 am y 11am en el Atrio. ¡Favor de venir y únanse a nosotros! Christoph Siepen – Él es el joven alemán, estudiante de colegio quien ha sido un voluntario aquí en nuestra escuela Católica e Iglesia desde la primera semana de Septiembre. Su año está llegando a su término y él regresará a su hogar en Bonn el 2 de agosto. Él ha sido una maravillosa parte de nuestro equipo del ministerio y lo vamos a extrañar mucho. El domingo, 30 de Julio es una oportunidad para despedirnos de él y expresar nuestros mejores deseos en sus futuros estudios. Estacionamiento Principal - La excavación del estacionamiento necesitaba ser un poco más extensa de que originalmente estaba planeado. El hoyo para el ascensor nuevo de la escuela tuvo 2 problemas significativos. El conducto eléctrico de toda la planta corre por la esquina donde la escuela y el convento se juntan, de esta manera, la necesidad de cavar un agujero más grande para que TODAS las líneas eléctricas y tuberías geotérmicas de la escuela y la iglesia sean reubicadas fuera del sitio del hueco del ascensor. El equipo laboral también ha comenzado a instalar un sistema de extinción de incendios en los edificios de la escuela y el convento, el cual nunca existió en ninguno de los dos edificios. Este trabajo continuará durante el verano. Plantas del Atrio - Continuamos teniendo dificultades con personas que roban las plantas verdes de los tiestos de jardín interiores en el atrio hermoso. Algunos ladrones sorprendentemente toman la planta, la colocan en una bolsa para llevar a su auto, y luego vuelven a ir a la comunión. Por favor ayúdenos a detener los que no pueden hacer una conexión entre su fe, moral personal, y sus acciones. Por favor… “Si ven algo … digan algo!” Además, hay una política No Solicitando en la iglesia y el espacio de oración de nuestro Atrio. Dando dinero a nuestros “regulares” … sólo los hace más y más dependientes de nosotros (ti), y no los ayudará … ayudarse ellos mismos. Ayudamos a Cont’d p.4
