St. Rose of Lima: will be doing the Summer Food Pro-
gram. Hot Breakfast and Lunch during the summer. It
will begin June 3rd– July 26th. No Meals on July 4th &
5th for the Holiday. For all Children 18 years and un-
der eat free. Meals must be consumed on site. Everyone
is welcome. In will be in St. Matthew. Adults can pur-
chase Breakfast for $2.00 & Lunch $2.75. Extra milk
are .50
BREAKFAST: Is at 8am-8:30am
Lunch: Is at 11:30am –12:30pm.

Couple Prayer Retreat Tucson, is June 22-
23rd
Join other Husbands and Wives and learn
several techniques of praying together as a
couple. This retreat is for married couples who want to
have a deeper prayer life together by using God’s Word
as found in scripture. Together look for the will of the
Father for you as couple. Discover how you are living
the Gospel of Jesus, and your awareness and response to
the Spirit to be in your daily lives. This retreat is
facilitated by a Catholic priest and Marriage Retorno

Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction For the rest
month of May will be from 8:30 am-11am Monday thru
Friday in the Chapel. If there is a Funeral there will be
no Adoration. You must go to office first.
Compliance Representative will be at St. Rose of
Lima from 1:30pm to 2:30 pm 2nd Thursday of the
month.
Spanish Choir Practice meets every Tuesday at 6:00
pm in the church.
Youth Choir: Junior and High School meet at 5:30 to 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
REQUIREMENTS:
Baptisms: The parents of the child to be baptized must submit a copy of the baby's birth certificate. Parents and godparents need to
attend the parish baptismal class. Classes are given on the second Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Parents and
Godparents must make an appointment to speak with Father prior to setting baptism date. Please call the office to sign up for the next
scheduled class. All requirements for the Diocese of Tucson and Saint Rose of Lima will be given to the parents at this
time. Baptisms are performed the first and third Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Our office staff is limited, therefore, sponsors and
godparents proof of sacraments, documents and payment must be submitted at least one month before the baptism. When choosing
godparents, if they are married, they must be married through the Catholic church, if single you must not be living with a
partner. Donation is $20.00.
Quinceañera: The candidate and her parents must contact the office at least one (1) year or more before the date requested.
Quinceañera are not performed during Holy Days. Requirements: Must have Baptism, First Holy Communion and be coming to
Confirmation I. active within the parish, youth group, Religious Education, Mass attendance, etc. and Six(6) sets of meetings and
volunteer ministries given by Fr. Nicodemus. Cost is $250.00. There is a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 to hold the date.
Balance to the church must be received in the office one week before the ceremony.
Weddings: The couple must contact office at least 6 months prior to the desired wedding date. An appointment will be made for the
couple. At that time it will be determined if the date desired is available, and all requirements for the Diocese of Tucson and Saint
Rose of Lima will be given to the couple. Donation is $150.00.There is a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 to hold the date. Balance
to the church must be received in the office one week before the ceremony.
Funeral Arrangements: St. Rose and Our Lady have always asked for a donation to the Parish for its service. We also help those
who can not afford funeral arrangements. We work with both mortuaries in town to make these arrangement ‘s as easy as possible.
They will waive donations if the family is in need. Donation to the Priest and Deacon $100.00. Donation to the Parish which takes
care of upkeep, cleaning and electricity. $100.00. Use of the Hall 50.00. Donation cost $250.00.

word “Bulletin” It has to have enough time so Father
can approve it. Bulletin gets printed on Thursday
Attention: Everyone if you are using the Classrooms,
Volunteer Hall, and Church. Please make sure if you
move chairs and tables that you put them back the way
they were. You will be responsible if anything gets
broken or destroyed . You will have to pay for it to get
fixed, or replaced.
Please don’t throw away your last year old Palm’s
bring them to the church. We can burn them and use
them for next year on Ash Wednesday. So that they
can be burned. So we can use them for Ash
Wednesday.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
GOSPEL REFLECTION: Today is Trinity Sunday! This
feast invites us to contemplate what we believe and to
confirm that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In John’s
Gospel today, Jesus assures his disciples the Spirit of Truth
will guide them in the future. If we believe, we too are given
this same promise—the Holy Spirit of Truth will help us and
therefore we do not have to face the future alone.
Mixed Choir Practice (children & adults) – Choir
practice is held every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the
church. No audition necessary. All are welcome!
Students – This is a reminder to all RE students to say
your prayers daily, pray the rosary, count your
blessings daily, and attend Mass every Sunday.
Summer is not vacation from God. Have a safe and
blessed summer!
Mark-the-date – We will begin our RE family activities
on Wednesday, June 26, at 6 p.m. Please call the
office at 428-0149 if you would like to help and/or
participate. Remember these activities are for our
entire parish community.

Parish Hall are asked to please clean out what is not wanted any longer. It is important to make space for materials we are
going to buy for the Roof Project.

bring a sweater if you feel you will be cold.
Upcoming Event: Burrito/Yard Sale planned for
Friday/Saturday, July 26 & 27, 2019 beginning 7:00 AM– 2:00 PM. Donations of gently used items can be brought to
the OLG Parish Hall from 9:30 AM-3:00 PM, Monday-
Friday. Monetary donation needed to buy groceries for the
Burrito Sale.
