The KodC Family Bowling League contributes each year to the MacLellan Shelter for Families, so they can provide a safe & clean home for

those families who are unfortunate & have no home. By joining the KofC Family Bowling league this fall, YOU can make a difference. The

league is not just a league for members of Knights of Columbus. It is open to all who would like to have fun bowling with others from area churches

in the Chattanooga/Hixson/Soddy Daisy/Signal Mountain/Ft. Oglethorpe area & at the same time, helping homeless families in Chattanooga.

Fall league dates: Sunday, Sept. 8—Sunday, Nov. 10 Cost is $12/bowler for 3 games/bowler each Sunday (shoe rental not included) We bowl at

2:30 p.m. at Spare Time/Hixson on Hixson Pike Me, women, single, married, families, youngins (youngins use bumpers!) & those that are young at

heart! To sign up, send the following in an email to league coordinator, John Sopko at [email protected] by Sunday, Aug. 25.

St. Vincent de Paul Conference

Do you know that the Chattanooga area has a St Vincent de Paul

Conference? Do you know what the St. Vincent de Paul Conference is

all about? There are many poor and needy families and individuals in

our community that fly below the radar, and our St. Vincent de Paul

Conference needs your help in helping them. The need is great, and

growing, and beyond our present resources. Do you have just a couple

of hours during the month, where you could help those lacking the

necessities of life? Could you visit the needy, help feed the hungry,

assist with paying utility bills, give courage and hope to those down on

their luck? Vincentians are Christians who thank God for their many

personal blessings and try to grow in their faith by practicing the

spiritual and corporal works of mercy. Our local St Vincent de Paul

Conference meets each 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00

p.m., in Holy Family Hall at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic

Church. Please come and check us out and see what we are all

about. We need your help! Remember the words Jesus said to his

Disciples " Come and See" Deacon Dennis Meinert—OLPH
