From the Pastor & from the new Associate Pastor Dear Parishioners:
I want to share with you, the great joy that our children and young people of the parish have received this past week the sacraments of First Holy Communion and the sacrament of Confirmation. The candidates of the RCIA joined them too at these ceremonies. I was very pleased to see in our children their eagerness to receive Christ in his body and for our young boys and girls the enthusiasm to be anointed with the Holy Spirit. I want to thank the parents for their commitment to accompany them, especially during this time of receiving their formation through the virtual platforms. Let us also be grateful for the dedication of our catechists, deacons Bill and Conrad, as well as Sister Revelina and Sister Teresa.
On another note, as Fr. Louis Mboe moves to a new assignment, let us welcome Fr. Alex Garcia who will join our parish as the new Associate Pastor. May the Lord bless them in their new assignments.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,
Quiero dar gracias al Señor por esta oportunidad de venir a vivir y ejercer el ministerio sacerdotal en esta
parroquia. Durante este tiempo, espero no solo crecer como persona y sacerdote, sino también cosechar innumerables bendiciones. Me
gustaría compartir algo sobre mí. Mi nombre es Javier Alexander García. Nací el 17 de julio
de 1979 en Colombia. Estudié Filosofía y Teología en el Seminario de mi diócesis
"Santa Rosa de Osos-Colombia". Fui ordenado sacerdote el 1 de diciembre de 2005 en
Colombia. Hace cuatro años vine a los Estados Unidos para servir como sacerdote por un
tiempo. Estuve en la parroquia "Misin San Juan Diego" en Arlington Heights durante tres años y en la
parroquia de “San Odilo" en Berwyn durante un año. Por favor oren por mí y yo oraré por ustedes. Que el
Señor nos conceda continuar sirviéndole para su mayor gloria. Que él nos ayude a ser santos para ser
instrumentos de redención para las almas y así establecer su Reino de fe, justicia y
amor.

Queridos Feligreses,
Quiero compartir con ustedes la gran alegría que nuestros niños y jóvenes de la parroquia han recibido
la semana pasada los sacramentos de la Primera Comunión y el sacramento de la
Confirmación. Los candidatos de la RICA también se unieron a ellos en estas
ceremonias. Estaba muy contento de ver en nuestros hijos su entusiasmo por recibir a
Cristo en su cuerpo y por el entusiasmo de nuestros niños y niñas de ser ungidos con
el Espíritu Santo. Quiero agradecer a los padres por su compromiso de
acompañarlos, especialmente durante este tiempo de recibir su formación a través de las plataformas virtuales. Agradezcamos también la dedicación de
nuestros catequistas, diáconos Bill y Conrad, así como de la hermana Revelina y la hermana Teresa.
En otra nota, como el P. Louis Mboe se muda a una nueva asignación, le damos una bienvenida al Padre. Alex García, quien se unirá a nuestra parroquia como
el nuevo pastor asociado. Que el Señor los bendiga en sus nuevas asignaciones.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I want to give thanks to the Lord for this opportunity to come to live and exercise priestly ministry in this Parish. During this time, I hope not only to grow as a person and a priest, but also to harvest countless blessings. I would like to share something about myself. My name is Javier Alexander García. I was born on July 17, 1979 in Colombia. I studied Philosophy and Theology in the Seminary of my diocese "Santa Rosa de Osos-Colombia". I was ordained as a priest on December 1, 2005 in Colombia. Four years ago, I came to the United States to serve as a priest for a time. I was in "Mission San Juan Diego" parish in Arlington Heights for three years and, in "San Odilo" Parish in Berwyn for one year. Please pray for me and I will pray for you. May the Lord grant us to continue serving him for his greatest glory. May He help us to be saints in order to be instruments of redemption for the souls and thus establish his Kingdom of faith, justice and love. Fr. Alex Garcia

Peace and Justice Food Assistance Program
We continue to give out bags of food to individuals and families in need on Tuesdays from 11am - 1pm in the gym.
Donation drop off will be at the side doors of the gym, starting
at 10:30AM on Tuesday. Food pick up starts at 11:00am and goes to 1:00pm.
Food donations needed: milk, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit,
vegetables, granola bars, macaroni & cheese, rice, tuna, cereal, oatmeal, juice, pasta, canned chicken, canned peas, canned
corn, hand sanitizer, liquid hand soap and laundry detergent.

Mary, friend and mother to all, through your Son, God has found a way to unite himself to every human being, called to be one people, sisters and brothers to each other. We ask for your help in calling on your Son, seeking forgiveness for the times when we have failed to love and respect one another. We ask for your help in obtaining from your Son the grace we need to overcome the evil of racism and to build a just society. We ask for your help in following your Son, so that prejudice and animosity will no longer infect our minds or hearts but will be replaced with a love that respects the dignity of each person.
