Dear Parishioners, Summer is in full swing now -- actually it feels as though it is flying by, now that we have already marked the Fourth of July. Obviously, many of you are heading out on vacation. Please don't forget to include plans for Sunday Mass on your agenda. I was thinking how much simpler it is to find a church to at-tend than when I was a youngster. Of course, since our vacation routine was always simple day trips, we never had to figure out where we would be head-ed for Mass. Speaking of day trips, if you are not heading far and looking for some nearby sites to see, you might consider a trip to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the Saint John Paul II Shrine, or the Franciscan Monastery in DC for a visit this summer. It seems like sometimes we miss out on some of the sites that are so close by -- just because they are so close. Peo-ple travel across the country to visit these beautiful pilgrim sites, and they are practically in our backyard! Wherever you may be going -- or staying -- may God bless you and keep you safe! How to Register to be a Parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church
Often, in the sacramental life of the Church, Catholic faithful will need to prove residency in a parish. Registra-tion with the parish office allows us to track your sacra-mental data and keep you connected with the life of the church.
In order to register, come to the parish office Monday – Friday 9:30am – 3:30pm to fill out a registration card. Yellow registration cards can also be obtained at all of the Church entrances – these can be mailed to the parish or given to an usher during a church liturgy.

Adults Plan Ahead to Volunteer Want to volunteer at the many St. Theresa’s children based programs/events (i.e. fall picnic, school functions)? St. Theresa’s encourages and wel-comes your involvement however it requires that all volunteers be VIRTUS trained (volunteer training & paperwork). The VIRTUS paperwork may take up to 4-6 weeks to clear.

The purpose of these free events is to help students keep their faith while transitioning into college. Baptisms
Parents desiring Baptism for their child must attend a class, preferably before the child’s birth. The clas-ses are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the Louis Martin Conference Room in the Administration Bldg. After you attend the class, you may schedule your child for the Sacrament of Bap-tism (Sundays 1:30pm). Date is confirmed once all paperwork is received in the office. Forms can be found on the Parish web-site under Faith, Sacra-ments, Baptism.
Matrimony
The priest must be con-tacted at least six (6) months prior to the wed-ding date.
Visit the Parish Website under Faith, Sacraments, Marriage and fill out the Marriage Preparation Questionnaire prior to con-tacting the Parish Office. A priest will contact you.

Daily Bread Ministry We are once again delivering bagged lunches of sandwiches, fruit cups… to the shelter in Leesburg. If you are interested in preparing or delivering, please contact Bernadette Miller at 703.726.9163 or at [email protected] This is a great oppor-tunity to get service hours. We would like to also find regular delivery folks. Delivery is between 7am-10am on Saturdays mornings.
Food donations for Daily Bread Minis-try needed weekly, please help. (Drop off in Daily Bread box on the side en-trance) •granola bars, •fruit cups breakfast bars. Parish Outreach Food Pantry Your assistance goes a long way. Just this past week we have been able to offer food items to several families including one homeless woman. We are in need of canned tuna, canned chicken and peanut butter and jelly, little chicken/cracker packs and laundry soap. Please drop off to the parish office or in our outreach boxes at church.
