HAPPY EASTER! Happy Easter! Or as most other languages prefer: Blessed Pasch—Passover! Pasqua, Pascua, Páscoa, Pâques! Israel’s Passover through the Red Sea to the Promised Land! Jesus’ Passover through the Cross to resurrection! Our catechumens’ Passover last night, and ours once upon a time, through Baptism’s waters to our family’s Eucharist! Wel-come, everybody! As someone once said of the Catholic Church, “Here comes everybody!” So in this Jubilee of Mercy, we make our own Saint John Chrysostom’s Easter welcome from fourteen hun-dred years ago: “Let everyone enjoy this radiant feast! You who fasted from Lent’s beginning, and you who didn’t fast at all, rejoice! The table’s richly set! Come, take from it, everybody, no worries, no embarrassment! All of you, taste the banquet of faith! Enjoy the feast of forgiveness! Let no one grieve for having sinned again and again: pardon has risen from the tomb!” Happy Easter! Blessed Pasch! Welcome, everybody!

CCD NEWS-NEW STUDENTS
New Student Registration for the 2019-2020 school year. Registration for students new to our catechism program will take place after all the Masses on the weekends of April 27-28 and May 4-5. Please bring proof of your address (a bill that shows your name and current address), photo ID and a copy of your child’s baptism cer-tificate. The fee for 1st communion preparation is $90 for the first child and $15 for each addi-tional sibling. The cost for Confirmation prepa-ration for the year is $110.
PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Returning Students Registration for the 2019-2020 school year. All students currently enrolled in our catechism program will receive a registra-tion packet from their teachers the second week in April. One form for each child must be com-pleted and returned to their child’s teacher with the registration fee. The fee for the upcoming year program will be $90 for the first child and $15 for each additional sibling. The fee for Con-firmation Candidates is $110. Forms must be re-turned to your child’s teacher no later than the last day of classes (April 30/May 1st).
Requirements for Preparation of the Sacraments for Children Ages 6-16 are as follows and effective in the 2019-2020 school year.
First Holy Communion: 2 years preparation. Child must be baptized. If your child is not bap-tized, please arrange for your child to be baptized. Children may begin classes in the first grade.
Confirmation: 1 year of preparation, beginning when your child is in the 7th grade. Child must have received First Holy Communion prior to preparing for Confirmation.
Continuing Students: Students who are in grades 3-6 and have made their First Holy Com-munion may continue classes and faith formation on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:45pm.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, May 3, the First Friday of the month, from 9am to 10pm. Mass is celebrated at 12pm. Please come and join us for Adoration on this First Fri-day. We need people to sign up for a Holy Hour during the 13 hours. The sign-up sheet is on the parish bulletin board in the church hall. Please consider signing up for an hour to ensure we have every hour covered, and hopefully by more than just one person per hour.

Alleluia, He has risen! This weekend we begin the Easter season. A time filled with joy and glad-ness, a time in which we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are filled with joy and glad-ness because we are able to be redeemed by the power of God and share in His glory that He offers to all of us. On behalf of Fr. Gary, the deacons, the parish staff and myself, we wish all of you a very Happy Easter. May the resurrected Jesus Christ bless our parish, your families and your homes. Fr. Abel

ANUNCIOS DE LA PARROQUIA
En la Iglesia de Santo Tomás tenemos la Adora-ción del Santísimo Sacramento el viernes 3 de mayo de 9am a 10pm. El Santísimo Sacramento estará expuesto en la custodia en el altar para Adoración y oración hasta las 10pm y la misa se celebrará a las 12pm en Ingles. Por favor venga y acompáñenos para la Adoración en este primer viernes. Invitamos que personas se registren pa-ra una Hora Santa. La hoja de inscripción está en el tablero de anuncios en el salón de la iglesia. Considere inscribirse durante una hora para ase-gurarse de que tengamos por lo menos un adora-dor por hora, y si es posible más de una persona por hora.
¡Aleluya, ha resucitado! Este fin de semana comenzamos la temporada de pascua. Un tiempo lleno de gozo y alegría, un tiempo en el que celebramos la resurrección de Jesucristo. Estamos llenos de gozo y alegría porque podemos ser redimidos por el poder de Dios y compartir su gloria que Él nos ofrece a todos nosotros. En nombre del P. ADORACIÓN AL SANTÍSIMO
Registración para nuevos estudiantes para el año escolar 2019-2020. Registración para nuevos estudiantes en nuestro programa de catecismo se llevaran acabo des-pués de todas las Misas en los fines de semana 27 y 28 de abril y 4 y 5 de mayo. Favor de traer comprobante de do-micilio (una cuenta que indique su nombre y su domici-lio actual), identificación con foto y la copia de bautismo de su niño/a. La cuota para el programa por el primer niño/a es $90 y $15 para cada niños (hermano/a) adicio-nal. La cuota para el programa de confirmación es $110.
REGISTRACIONES PARA EL CATECISMO Canon #873: Téngase un solo padrino o una sola ma-drina, o uno y una. Canon #874: Sea católico, esté confirmado, haya recibi-do ya el santísimo sacramento de la Eucaristía y lleve, al mismo tiempo, una vida congruente con la fe y con la misión que va a asumir; no sea el padre o la madre de quien se ha de bautizar.
**Por estas razones, si hay una persona que esta vivien-do con alguien y no esta casado/a por la Iglesia Católica, no puede ser padrino o madrina.
Requisitos de preparación para los Sacramentos para ni-ños de edades 6-16 son los siguientes y efectivos en el año escolar 2019-2020. Primer comunión: 2 años de preparación. El niño/a tiene que estar bautizado. Si su niños/a no esta bautizado, favor de hacer arreglos para que su niños/a sea bautizado. Niños pueden empezar clases en el primer grado escolar. Confirmación: Un año de preparación, empezando cuando su niños este en el séptimo grado. El niño debe de haber recibido la Primera comunión antes de empezar preparaciones para la confirmación. Estudiantes que Continuaran: Estudiantes que están en grados 3-6 que han hecho la primera comunión pue-den continuar clases in los miércoles en la tarde de 3:30pm-4:45 pm.

Todos los estudiantes que ahora están registrados en nuestro programa de cate-cismo recibirán un paquete de registración de sus maestras durante la segunda semana de Abril. Una for-ma para cada niño/a debe ser completada y regresada a la maestra de su niño/a con el pago. La cuota para el programa del nuevo año es $90 para el primer niño y $15 para cada niño (hermano/a) adicional en la familia. La cuota para los candidatos de confirmación es $110. Todas las formas deben ser regresadas a la maestra de su niño/a antes del ultimo día de clases (30 de Abril y 1 de Mayo).

On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don’t know where they put him.” So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a sepa-rate place. Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet un-derstand the Scripture that he had to rise from the dead.

El primer día después del sábado, estando toda-vía oscuro, fue María Magdalena al sepulcro y vio removida la piedra que lo cerraba. Echó a co-rrer, llegó a la casa donde estaban Simón Pedro y el otro discípulo, a quien Jesús amaba, y les dijo: "Se han llevado del sepulcro al Señor y no sabemos dónde lo habrán puesto". Salieron Pedro y el otro discípulo camino del se-pulcro. Los dos iban corriendo juntos, pero el otro discípulo corrió más aprisa que Pedro y lle-gó primero al sepulcro, e inclinándose, miró los lienzos puestos en el suelo, pero no entró. En eso llegó también Simón Pedro, que lo venía siguiendo, y entró en el sepulcro. Contempló los lienzos puestos en el suelo y el sudario, que ha-bía estado sobre la cabeza de Jesús, puesto no con los lienzos en el suelo, sino doblado en sitio aparte. Entonces entró también el otro discípulo, el que había llegado primero al sepulcro, y vio y creyó, porque hasta entonces no habían entendi-do las Escrituras, según las cuales Jesús debía resucitar de entre los muertos.
