Meghalaya, ‘the abode of clouds’ with a geographical area of 22,429 sq.km Meghalaya is

a beautiful North Eastern State of India located to the north of Bangladesh and

surrounded by the state of Assam along its borders. It is a beautiful state which is rich in

its culture, tradition, dress and languages.

The Government of Meghalaya has been actively engaged in developing a culture

of participation in competitive sports as a means of creating a fit, healthy and

vibrant society. Prepare a scrap book. Collect the information and photos of

different kind of sports and games that are played in Meghalaya.

Meghalaya is a hilly state in the Northeastern part of India. Meghalaya means

“Abode of Clouds”. It is a beautiful state which is rich in its culture, tradition, dress

and language. Meghalaya is a state, which has variety of dance forms. “Wangla

Meghalaya is a hilly state in India. It is also called “The Scotland of East”. Meghalaya is one of the “Seven Sister States” of northeast India. It receives very heavy rainfall. The capital of Meghalaya is Shillong. We can see elephants, tigers, leopards, wolves and monkeys etc. in the forest of the Meghalaya.
