~~~BABY SHOWER FOR ST. GIANNA’S HOUSE~~~ Our nine months of Spiritual Adoption and Prayer will end on Christmas Day. To celebrate our babies and their mothers, we will be hosting a baby shower for the residents of St. Gianna’s House for women and children escaping domestic violence and abortion. The celebration begins with a Mass concelebrated by Fr. Kubat, the Director of Catholic Social Services and St. Gianna’s House on Friday, December 28 at noon, the feast of the Holy Innocents. After Mass there will be a potluck and baby shower in the church basement. If you are unable to join us, laundry baskets to collect gifts and diapers will be in the back of church until Friday, December 28th to collect these items. Please have your gifts unwrapped or in a gift bag. Diapers sized 3 and 4 are especially welcome. Thank you for all your faithful prayers! ~The Parish Pro-Life Committee The Annual Mass of the Holy Innocents will be celebrated Friday, December 28th at John XXIII Diocesan Center Chapel, 3700 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln. All are invited to attend this Memorial Mass, especially those families who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death or abortion. Reading of names will begin at 6:30pm with Mass at 7:00 pm. If you would like your child’s name to be remembered and placed on the banner for this year, please call the Office of Family Life at: 473-0620 before 5pm on December 19th. If you placed your child’s name previously, it will remain on the list. St. John’s School-Weston New Year’s Eve Celebration will be Monday, December 31st.
