StarterKit will enable you to control the lighting,

    appliances, blinds and heating

Morning lighting can be set according to

the intensity of the exterior light

The purpose of the Inels system

is to bring you, the user, an

    intelligent electric installation

    tailored to suit your needs for ana d v a n t a g e o u s p r i c e ;

    the implementations ranging from

    smallest applications with a partial

    s o l u t i o n u p t o v a s t a n d

comprehensive systems. The scope of the Inels system

    StarterKit is suitable for partial

    implementations of partial areas

of your electric installations. That is

why it can be used to control onlycertain standalone parts such as

    heating, dimming, controlling

    the blinds, switching appliances

on and off or communicating with

    a security system.

    INTRODUCTION

No matter whether you purchase the LIGHT StarterKit (to control and dim lighting), HEATING (to regulate

heating) and/or BLINDS (to control blinds, jalousies or sunshades), you can always be sure that you have

bought the best that there is. This is because you ar e totally free to set everything as you need and to

modify the settings at any time.

The INELS StarterKit grows with you!

The INELS StarterKit contains basic components for the given area of intelligent electric installation

(LIGHT / HEATING / BLINDS) which can be mutually combined in any way or extended in the future. You

can also choose a combination of the above mentioned areas (e.g. LIGHT and HEATING) and/or work

your way towards a comprehensive intelligent electric installation system, which INELS doubtless

    represents.

Flexibility and customisation these are two key advantages of the INELS system. All modifications of

functions are done in IDM soft ware, supplied free of charge, on the PC ; unlike the classical installation

where you have to insert or replace devices offering a certain functionality in the system (which

the location or the layout of cables often renders impossible).

All of the components of the INELS StarterKit offer full performance and, if included in a comprehensive

    system, offer the same parameters.

The StarterKit is pre-connected and pre-programmed; i.e. the device will work as soon as it is plugged

in so that you can try it out. However, as these are connected to a 230 V power supply, they must be

    installed by a qualified technician.

The StarterKit Manual serves to provide you with a basic presentation of the system; go to the IDM

Manual for advanced setting information. If you are interested in setting or extending the system,

contact the network of our authorised system partners (see http:www.inels.com).

Basic terms used in intelligent electric installation:

    Unit

The term of unit refers to e.g. a switching actuator, input module or a thermostat connected to the bus. It is possible to connect up to 32 units to a

single bus. The central unit contains two buses and MI2-02M modules enable extending the system by further 4 buses = 6 buses = 192 units. The

unit does not refer to the number of connected components (e.g. switches or buttons) because a unit mostly features several inputs or outputs.

Lowering blinds and regulating the brightness of lighting

fixtures as the exterior light intensity decreases

The data from the weather station help you control

the lighting, blinds as well as heating

Setting-off of the light alarm in the event of

    unauthorised entry

    Sensor

The term of sensor refers to a unit scanning a certain quantity, e.g. pressing a button, temperature, lighting level, voice, IR signal from

    the remote control etc.

    Actuator

The term of actuator refers to a unit controlling an appliance; it e.g. switches a socket, dims a lighting fixture, controls a thermal head, sends

    a signal etc.

    IDM

This is the acronym which stands for the INELS Designer & Manager freely supplied software used for setting the par ameters of the functions of

    the entire system.

    Bus

This is two conductors (wires) mostly a twisted parallel pair connecting all units in the building. The central units use the bus to communicate

with other units, collect information from sensors and send commands to actuators. The bus represents the main difference between

the intelligent and classical electric installation. The indisputable advantage of the bus is the possibility of making flexible extensions or

modifications, which is rather limited i n the event of classical installation.

BPS2-01M separator of the bus from the power supply unit

This is the heart of the entire system and acts as a n interface between the user software environment and other sensors/actuators on the bus. It is connected

via a cable to a computer or network (it has a dedicated IP address). The configuration of the unit, and hence the entire system, is done in the IDM configuration

software, which is designed for the MS Windows operating systems. The built-in web server enables remote configuration of the unit and control over user

functions via an internet browser (o n a PC, phone or PDA). The 6-MODUL type is designed for switchboard installation.

Do you want to make your home

shine? Do you wish to play withthe lights, create light scenes or

just to cut down on costs through

    dimming?

Control of the lighting intensity is

a very popular way to create anenjoyabl e atm osphere, for

    pressing a single button will

automatically turn on the lights to

the preset intensity to suit your

requirements for a particularactivity, i.e. your living room will

have different light scenes forwatching TV, reading a book,

a family dinner or chatting with

    friends.

Regulation of the glow according to the sensor of the outdoor light

    intensity

    Sensors:

    Actuators:

The possibility to regulate the glow of bulbs and fluorescent tubes will pay you back in a very short

time. The lights will maintain the required constant intensity according to the intensity of the exterior

light. This will prevent your lights from working on 100% capacity even though the sun is shining

outside. This will be appreciated especially by the owners of companies, public institutions,

commercial and shopping centres, i.e. everyone who pa ys for the energy.

SOU sensor - outer sensor of the lighting intensity

ADC2-40M - converter of the outer sensor signal to the bus

Automatic switch-on of the lights in the event of person's movement.

    Sensors:

    Actuators:

Start-off of the light alarm in the event of unauthorised entry.

    Sensors:

Persons' movement sensors (the so-called PIR sensors or also infra passive sensors) are suitable not only for securing the building and preventing from

unauthorised access. It is possible to use this switch for other functions e.g. switching on the lights. This is suitable especially in corridors, staircases, entrances,

toilets etc., i.e. wherever one usually moves for only a limited period of time and where the light often shines uselessly if someone forgets to turn it o ff.

JS-20 LARGO PIR detector of persons' movement

IM2-20B - input unit enabling the connection of 2 PIR sensors and the transfer of their signal to the bus

SA2-02M (or SA2-02B) - switching ac tuator (2 separate outputs = 2 light circ uits) for switching

DA2-22M - dimming actuator (2 separate o utputs) - this option enables gradual dimming of the glow a fter the movement has stopped.

The IDM configuration programme also allows setting delayed switch-off and/or super ordinate control by means o f a button = the light can beswitched on regardless of movement (cleaning up, maintenance etc.).

Every light connected via a switching and/or dimming unit can be a part of the so-called light alarm. Therefore, in the event of trespassing, predefined lights

are switched on or start blinking i n addition to the text message sent and the alarm activated, which will certainly put the intruder off. The security functions

include one which w ill considerably contribute to the safeguarding of your home, namely simulation of presence. While you are away (on holiday, visiting

friends etc.) lights in various ro oms are switched on in irr egular intervals in the evening; the lights along your driv e will be switched on at ni ght and blinds can

be pulled up and down to enhance the o verall effect: to make the house look as i f you were in.

No other sensors or ac tuators are necessary. It is possible to programme this function onto any actuator and switch on by a suitable control.

    1+3 off, 2 at 50 %

    1+2+3 at 100%

    1 at 50 %, 2 off, 3 at 70 % (or to suit one's needs and according to the output power)1+2+3 at 30%

WSB2-80 group wall controls, 8 buttons

DA2-02M - dimming actuator 2x500VA, 2 pieces necessary in our example

The scenes are switched by a suitable sensor, in most cases it is the WSB2 wall control unit with 2, 4 or 8 buttons. If you use the 8-button WSB2-80 (the size

of a single switch!), you can set the button for example in this way:

Button 1: Controls the ceiling light (1)

Button 2: Controls the wall spotlights (2)

Button 3: Controls the reading lamp (3)

Button 4: launches the Watching TV light scene

Button 5: Launches the "Party light scene

Button 6: Launches the "Reading light scene

Button 7: Launches the "Intimate Moments light scene

    Button 8: Switches all off

Buttons 1-3 enable controlling the lighting as if you were using a controlled dimmer, i.e. every time you press a button you switch lights on/off and every time

you hold the button pressed you dim the light until you release the button, the value is then stored in the memory so that if you press the b utton again, you

switch the light on to this preset level.

    Actuators:

The outer sensor of the exterior light intensity just like the regulation of the lighting can be used for

automatic lowering of blinds as soon as the intensity of the exterior light decreases under a preset

level. You can install several sensors on the building (e.g. walls facing west and east) and these sensors

can control different groups of blinds. You can also define the opposite action: dimming. If the sensor

detects strong sunshine, it will lower the blinds.

Outer blinds will put burglars off.

In the event of trespassing and/or burglar alarm, it is possible to lower all blinds immediately and prevent the burglar from accessing the building

(or at least make it more difficult). Moreover, the burglar will realise that the building is secured the smart way and will decide to move on to a place

where no such obstacles occur. The command to lower the blinds can also be issued via a mobile phone or a PC connected to the internet.

The police statistics show that most burglars enter buildings through windows because it is the easiest way. Even a novice burglar will find it

extremely easy to pry a window open, especially where no security blinds are installed to prevent unauthorised access.

Not only does the engine propelled blind ensure that the building cannot be broken into, but it also offers saving of energy as well as thermal and acoustic

isolation. It helps to turn your home into an oasis of peace and quiet protecting you from intrusive looks and br inging you true and untroubled privacy, which

is everyone's natural need, especially in these hurried times.

    In these latitudes, virtually no

building can do without heating.Be it a boiler burning solid fuels,

    bio fuels, central heating, electric

    heating, electric or water floor

    heating, thermal pumps, fireplace,

fan coil or ventilation system, theINELS will enable you to control

them all in an effective and

convenient way so that you are

pleased not only by the warmth,

but also by your energy bills. Everysource of heating requires

different regulation. INELS willcope with each and will also

enable you to connect the weather

station in a sophisticated way and

to include the controls of blinds asanother insulation element

preventing the leakage of heat or a

solar system as a source of heat. It i s

not necessary to install a separate

control unit for every technology,so you will cut down on purchase

    costs.

    HEATING

    Heating medium: Water

Even nowadays, so-called central heating is by far the most widespread way of heating. The water

warms up the radiator which in turn warms up the ai r. If no thermal heads are installed on the valves

of the radiators, it is impossible to regulate heating except by turning the boiler on or off.

The drawbacks of such regulation are obvious: all parts of the building are heated, but regulated in

a single place (where the thermostat is located). The INELS system brings a smart solution: use of

thermal heads that can be controlled electrically.

There are 2 types of thermal heads:

    1) those that can close/open the valve c ompletely and

    2) those that close/open the valve in i ncrements, i.e. in proportion to the temperature.INELS features a special actuator for both types which can be fitted in the installation case near

the thermal head. The actuator also features an output for a thermal sensor so that you can scan and

control temperature merely in the room where the radiator is located. The same principle also applies

to water floor heating or fan coils.

Electrical heating is very easy to regulate. No matter whether you have direct convectors, floor cable, glowing panels or electric fan coils, you can easily turn

them on or off with any switch actuator. Like thermal heads, this offers the advantage to use the SA2-01B switch actuator to include in the installation case, as it

allows switching up to 4000VA and features an input for a thermal sensor.

devices (pumps, servo valves etc.). The regulation algorithm is set in the IDM. The INELS system can also communicate with other systems through the RS232

IDRT2-1- a digital thermostat in the design of the Elegant switch to be included in the installation case, the multiple case enables combinations

with other devices. The function is the same as that o f IART2, but it also contains a display and allows configuring the heating schedule.

EST-2 - a control featuring a touch screen in the Logus90 switch design to be included in the installation case. Besides controlling heating the EST-2enables controlling other functions of the INELS intelligent system. In preparation, sale from 08 /2009..

The IDM configuration software features a component dedicated to the regulation of heating. In practice, it is possible to use any thermal sensor included in

the system (i.e. according to the temperature in the location of the sensor) to control any heating component (i.e. place where an actuator is located)

separately (every room may be set a different temperature). In this way it is possible to set the system from basic conditions up to a sophisticated and

comprehensive solution with a number of thermal inputs (e.g. outer temperature, temperature of the floor, temperature of the boiler etc.). The IDM also

enables you to set time limits of heating in the same way as the digital thermostat. The key advantage brought by the INELS system is an overview of

the conditions of heating displayed on the touch screen and/or in the IDM as the ground plan of the building. In this way, you can switch on or regulate the

heating even if you are a way or late...
