Our buyers strongly encourage their suppliers to use our TradeNet platform when responding to their RFQs. StartSupplier User Guide

I. Viewing your RFQ (Request-For-Quote or Inquiry) or PO (Purchase Order) When a buyer sends you a transaction (RFQ or PO), you will receive an email notification via your Trading Email Address. This email contains a link that opens your RFQ or PO in your web browser.

You will be led to the StartSupplier System Login page, which requires you to enter your password. Note that your TradeNet ID or Customer ID will already be available in the Customer ID field. Click on Login Now after entering your password to open your transaction.

As soon as you login, the StartSupplier License Agreement page will appear, if this is your first time to use ShipServ in quoting back. Read the terms by clicking View Terms. Just tick the box that says “I accept the terms”. Then hit Continue. A Special Notice will appear if you have not verified your listing on ShipServ Pages, www.shipserv.com/pages. We highly encourage you to update your listing so that your company information is updated in our website. This is useful for your prospective buyers. You may click Edit Listing or Do It Later. This may only take few minutes of your time. You should now be able to view your RFQ page. Please note that your buyer can also send you attachments with their RFQ. Clicking on the attachment hyperlink opens a new browser window or tab that lets you view the attachment.

II. Accessing a Forgotten Password and Changing your Password Use the Forgotten Password option in the System Login page to resend your password to your Trading Email Address. The Change Password option allows you to set a new password for your account.

III. Creating a Quote Click on the Create Quote button at the bottom of your RFQ page to start quoting on your buyer’s RFQ, the fill out the

You will be able to enter or edit information in the fields that are NOT grayed out. Ensure that you enter a Quote Reference number before you submit your quote. You will be prompted should you miss any mandatory fields in your quote.

You can opt to either Save a Draft of your quote or choose Submit Quote when you are done. IV. Proper logging out of the system To prevent any issues or login errors, make sure to always log out before closing your browser window. *Note: If your quote was successfully submitted, it will be indicated at the top of your Quote page after submitting the quote.

A message will be displayed informing you that you have successfully logged out the system.

V. Re-quoting on an RFQ Should you need to re-quote on an RFQ, simply click again on the link contained in your email notification, then log in. You will receive a note that you have already quoted on the RFQ. You can view your previous quote by clicking on the hyperlink. To place another quote, click on Create Quote.

VI. Declining to Quote on an RFQ To decline an RFQ, click on Decline Quote at the bottom of your RFQ page.

You will be prompted to enter a comment or reason for declining to quote on the RFQ.

You will find the status of the RFQ at the top of the page, and your comments at the bottom of the page:

*Note: If you have declined an RFQ by mistake or have declined an RFQ but decide place a quote on it, you may do so by clicking on the link and reopening the transaction.

VII. Accepting a Purchase Order To accept your buyer’s order, open the transaction using the link in the email notification and log in to the System Login page. Click on Accept Order after reviewing the purchase order.

For some orders (depending on your buyer’s settings), you will be required to complete an order confirmation:

You will be able to make changes in some of the information in an order when placing an Order Confirmation (unlike that of an Order Acceptance, which just lets you accept the order electronically), e.g. add supplier comments, make changes in pricing, etc. Once done click on Submit Order Confirmation. You will be prompted for any mandatory fields that you missed.

If your order confirmation was successfully submitted, it will be indicated at the top of your Order Confirmation page after submitting it.

VIII. Declining a Purchase Order To decline an order, click on Decline Order at the bottom of your RFQ page.

You will be prompted to enter a comment or reason for declining the order.

*Note: Unlike that of the RFQ wherein you can still place a quote even after you’ve declined it, you will NOT be able to accept an order once it has been declined.

IX. Common issues encountered by users in StartSupplier Interface A. Forgotten Password - Please use the Forgotten Password button B. Link not working or error in page when logging in - Ensure Proper Log out after each session or before closing your browser. - Close all internet windows before clicking on the link. - Copy and paste the link to a new internet browser.

- Clear cookies, history and temporary internet files by going to the Tools tab >>> Internet Options >>> Delete temporary files C. Page not displaying properly/Printing Issues - Use Internet Explorer to open and respond to your transactions as there have been some known errors with using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome D. Transactions not received or being sent to the wrong email address - Email [email protected] so that we can update our records with the correct trading email address for your company X.
