Hagen’s 5 Rules to Making an Outline

1. Read before you outline.

Startup: What do you know?

• On your own, write down as many body organs that you can think of (min 5)– For each organ, write down what you think it does

(it’s purpose or function)

• Now discuss your answers with your table group. – Make a list of all of the organs that you came up

with along with your thoughts on their purpose or function (min: 5)

– The group with the highest number of correct organs will earn 5 bonus points!!
