State Motorcycle and ATV Legislation
This report includes important motorcycle and ATV related legislation introduced in 2014 or carried over from 2013. It includes summaries of new bills that have been introduced since the last report was issued and previously introduced bills that have been amended or have had a change of status or comment. Newly introduced bills are marked with a plus sign (+). The first section of the report is a listing of all 2014 legislation with its current status for your reference. Complete summaries of all listed legislation can be found in prior 2014 State Motorcycle and ATV Legislation State Legislative Summaries or a full report containing a complete summary of all legislation can be found on MIC's web site (www.mic.org) under State Legislative Summaries in the Government Relations section. Legislation is sorted alphabetically by state under each of the following subjects: Electric Vehicles Motorcycle Equipment Motorcycle Safety/Licensing OHV/Land Use Operator Issues Warranty/Business Issues Updated reports will be distributed monthly. Copies of bills are available upon request from the Government Relations Office. An MIC Government Relations Bulletin reviewing all significant laws enacted in 2014 will be issued quarterly.
