Hold – places an active call on hold. To retrieve a held call, press Hold again or Pickup softkey
Options – Accesses services and options to customize your phone
Mute – Silences you to your caller. You can still hear them
Volume Control - adjusts volume of handset, ringer, and speakerphone
Callers List – accesses a list of the last 200 calls received
Redial – Accesses a list of the last 100 previously dialed numbers
Line/Call Appearance – Connects you to a line or call
Speaker/Headset – connect to a caller with speakerphone or headset
More – used to access additional phone features.

UI Navigation UI Navigation is easily performed using the Navigation arrows
located to the right of the LCD screen.
The and Navigation arrows are used to switch to the different screens and the and Navigation arrows are used to highlight and scroll through the different lines/calls on the respective screen. Pressing the center button selects/sets options and performs various actions (such as dialing out when in the Directory, Callers, and Redial Lists).

Call Appearances The 6867i has two hard line/call appearance buttons, each
with a corresponding status light. The two Line buttons are appearances of the main line (extension) of the phone.
Line/call appearance buttons and lights can represent:
− physical lines,
− calls for your extension, or
− calls from a group that your extension is part of
Pressing a line/call appearance button, connects you to the line or a call it represents.
The line/call appearance light indicates the status of that line or call.
When the phone is taken off-hook, the phone automatically selects a line for you.

Dialing a Number First, take the phone off-hook by:
− Lifting the handset
− Pressing the Speaker/Headset button or
− Pressing a line/call appearance button .
At the dial tone, enter the number you wish to call. Include a 9 if it is an external call.
You may also just start dialing a number, and the call will go out.

Using Hands free Speakerphone and/or HeadsetYour phone must be in the Speaker or Speaker/ Headset audio mode (Under the Options button ).
To dial using hands free, first press the Speaker/Headset button and enter a number at the dial tone.
To answer a call on your phone using hands free, press the Speaker/Headset button or the line/call appearance button
If you are in Speaker audio mode, lift the handset to switch between hands free and handset.
If you are in Speaker/ Headset audio mode, press the Speaker/Headset button to switch between hands free and headset.
Press the Goodbye button to end the call.

Sending an Incoming Call to Voicemail Send an incoming call directly to voicemail without answering
the call by pressing the Goodbye button without picking up the handset. If you press the Ignore or Silence softkey, your phone will stop ringing, but your caller will hear ringing and roll to voice mail. If you are already on the phone, your incoming call should ring on your second line and roll to voicemail if you don’t answer. Your phone screen displays a voicemail icon displaying the number of pending messages if the caller leaves a message.
Ending Calls
To end a call, press the Goodbye button or the Drop softkey. If connected through the handset, you can also place the handset back on hook to end the call.

Hold You can place an active call on hold by pressing the Hold
button . When you place a call on hold, only your phone can retrieve the call.
With an active call on your line, Press the Hold button .
The screen displays the icon indicating the call is on hold. Additionally, the line/ call appearance light begins to flash slowly and after a short time the phone beeps softly to remind you that you still have a call on hold.
To resume the call, press the Hold button again, or press the line button where the call is holding.

When on Hold To let your caller know that they are still on hold, music plays
softly (if this has been set up for your system). The call/line appearance light for the line you are on flashes to indicate that you are still connected.
Automatic Hold When juggling between calls, you do not have to press the Hold
button to go from one call to the next. The phone automatically puts your current call on hold as soon as you press a new line/call appearance button .
Retrieving a Held Call If you have more than one call on hold, you can reconnect to a
held call by pressing the line/call appearance button where that call is being held. Press the Goodbye button or the Drop softkey to disconnect the call.

Transferring CallsThe 6867i IP phone has a dedicated Transfer button . You can use this button to transfer calls, or use the Xfer softkey offered on screen when in a connected call.
With a caller on the line, press the Transfer button or the Xfer softkey.
Dial the extension you wish to Transfer to.
To cancel the Transfer, press the Cancel softkey and press the Line button the held caller is on.
You may speak with the 2nd party in private before completing the Transfer.
To complete the Transfer, press the Transfer button or the Xfer softkey again, or hang up.

Blind Transfer Transfer a call directly to another extension without consulting
with the person receiving the call. Complete the transfer immediately after you have entered the number. The call goes directly to the extension or outside line you transferred to.
Consultative Transfer Consult with the person you are transferring the call to before you
complete the transfer. Remain on the line until the receiving party answers the call. After consulting with the receiving party, you can either complete the transfer or cancel the transfer to go back to the original call .

Conference CallsThe 6867i phone has a dedicated Conference button . It can Conference a total of 15 parties. With your first caller on the line, press the Conference button
or the Conference softkey. The first caller is put on hold. Dial the extension or 9 plus the external number of the person
you wish to Conference with. Press the Drop softkey if you make a mistake, go to voice mail,
etc. You may speak with the other person in private before completing the Conference.
Press the Conference button or Conference softkey again to join all three parties.
Repeat the process to add additional parties if needed.

Call ForwardUse call forwarding when you want your calls to be forwarded to another number all of the time, or when your phone is in the busy state or the no answer state, or both. You can forward to an extension, or to 9 plus an external number.
Pressing the Call Fwd softkey on the phone accesses the Call Forward menus.
Enter the Number to Forward calls in fields for :
− All Calls - forward all calls
− Busy - forward when both lines on the phone are busy
− No Answer - forward when calls to a line haven’t been answered within a certain number of rings
Use the Navigation button to move to the On Checkbox beside the Forward mode you are activating, and press the button to enable the Call Forward mode. Press the Save softkey.
• Follow the same steps to Uncheck the appropriate box(es) when you no longer wish to have your calls Forwarded.

Speed DialPersonal Speed Dial List of 100 entries.
To Program:− Press Speed 100 softkey.− Press Options softkey.− Highlight Add and press Select softkey.− Enter code 00-99.− Press Done softkey.− Enter number with 9 if external.− Press Done softkey.− Enter Name for this entry.− Press oo (More) softkey.− Press Done.
To Use:– Press Speed 100 softkey.– Enter code for entry you wish to dial.– Press Dial softkey.
• Note – any blank softkey on your phone can be programmed as a single Speed Dial:– Press and hold a blank softkey for 3 seconds.– Enter the Name, Number, and Line choice for the Speed Dial entry.– Press Save softkey.– To Use, press the softkey you have programmed with a Speed Dial number.

6867i Busy Lamp FieldBusy Lamp Field (BLF)Used to monitor, answer or call another extension. Monitor
− Green – extension is in idle state.
− Red – user is on a call.
− Yellow – user’s phone is ringing.
Answer
− When BLF button is flashing yellow, press the BLF button to answer that user’s call.
Call
− Press a BLF button to call that user.

6867i ParkParkUsed to Park a call from one phone, and retrieve the call from another phone. To Park
− While on an active call, press the Park softkey.
− Enter the extension you want to Park the call against, or press # to Park the call against your extension.
To Retrieve
− Press the Park Retrieve softkey.
− Enter the extension number the call was parked against, followed by #, or just press # if the call was parked against your extension, and you are at your phone.
− You are connected.
Do Not DisturbCallers calling into the phone hear a busy signal or a voicemail message, depending on how your System Administrator set up the configuration server.
To activate, press the DND softkey.
When DND is enabled, the icon is displayed on screen.
To deactivate, press the DND softkey.
If the phone shares a line with other phones, only the phone that has DND configured is affected.

Redial ListStores information for up to the last 100 numbers called. It logs the name/number of the called party, when you called, and if the call was answered or missed. Additional information such as the duration of the call, line used, and call features utilized during the call can also be viewed.
You can view, scroll, and delete line items in the Redial List. To access the Redial List, press the Redial button .
Use the Navigation arrows to scroll through the entries.
Press Select or the Dial softkey to redial the selected number.
Press the Redial button twice to redial the last dialed number.

Call Log – Used to view Missed, Dialed, and Received Calls Press Call Log softkey. The initial Call Log is Missed Calls.
Use the Navigation button to scroll through the list.
Press the Dial softkey, a line/call appearance button , your Speaker/ Headset button, or lift your Handset to call an entry from the list.
To switch between Call Logs, press oo (More) softkey and select the Dialed or Received softkey.
Each Call Log holds the last 20 entries.
To Save an entry as one of your Speed 100 numbers:
− Press oo (More) softkey.
− Press Display.
− Press Add Speed.
− Press Done.

6867i Call Log
CallersThe Callers List is a stored log of your incoming calls. You can use the Callers List key
to access a list of callers that called your phone.The 6867i telephone stores information on up to 200 incoming calls in the Callers List.
Your telephone logs the name/number of the caller, when they last called, and if the call was answered or missed. Additional information such as the duration of the call, line used, and call features utilized during the call can also be viewed.
You can view, scroll, and delete line items in the Callers List from the IP phone UI. You can also dial out directly using a displayed entry in the Callers List by pressing a Line button . or your Speaker/Headset button.

Voice Mail Voice Mail is a feature button assigned to a top softkey. When you first get your phone, your voicemail needs to be setup
by you. Press the Voicemail softkey and follow the prompts. Your extension number is your mailbox number. The default initial password is 123456 followed by #. You will be prompted to change your passcode and record your
name. Your passcode must be 6-12 digits, and cannot contain sequential numbers.
To check voicemail remotely, you can call your CommPilot voice portal number, XXX-XXX-XXXX, and follow the prompts.
You can also call your own phone number, and when your call rolls to voicemail, press the star key and follow the prompts.
When you have new voice mail messages, you will have the voice mail message indicator on the top right corner of your phone. The number in the circle indicates how many new messages you have.
Your Message Waiting Light (red light on top right corner of phone) will also flash to indicate you have new messages.
To check voice mail, press the Voicemail softkey on your phone and follow the prompts.

6867i Resetting your VM Password
Options ButtonYou can use the Options button to access Services and Options to customize your phone.
Some examples are: Call Forward – input number(s) to Forward your calls to, and
activate Call Forward. Audio Mode – Set your phone’s default Audio mode to Speaker,
Headset, Speaker/Headset, or Headset/Speaker. You need to set your Audio Mode to Headset/Speaker of you are going to use a Headset as your primary answering device. The button toggles between Headset and Speaker if you have set your Audio Mode for Headset/Speaker or Speaker/Headset.
Live Dialpad – Turn on Live Dialpad so that you can use the PreDial feature when making an outbound call.

Restarting Your PhoneYou may need to Restart your phone for configuration changes to your phone or network settings to take effect. You may also need to Restart your phone if you have been asked to do so by your System Administrator, or should you experience any unexpected behavior.
To Restart Your Phone: Press the Options button . Press Navigation arrow to Restart Phone. Press Select softkey.− Press for Yes and press Select softkey or− Press Cancel softkey to cancel restart.
