A.G.A. FILTERComposed of two layers of filters with porosities and functions the A.G.A. Filter retains acid particles which are pulled by oxygen and hydrogen molecules emitted in the process of simultaneously inhibit electrolysis and passage of sparks that could cause the battery to explode. For this reason, the filter A.G.A. allows usage of Tudor Stationary batteriesin the same environment for people and electronic equipment.

AVALANCHE THERMAL AND RIPPLELearn more about the benefits and limitations of V-PACU batteriesTudor Stationary withA.G.A. technology.
LEAD-CALCIUM ALLOY WITHCONTENT OF TINManufactured to a high standard and lead alloy with Lead-CalciumHigh tin content providing low electrical resistance, minimum water consumption, higher corrosion resistance at high and high temperatures resistance to cycling. This alloy allows excellent performance in a wide range of temperature range (-20 ° C to +70 ° C) and at different schemes operation, such as cycling and float. This alloy allows.Although the equalization voltage is reduced in comparison Calcium-calcium alloy with low tin content, which results in minimal water consumption, maximizing battery lifeTudor Stationary.
ELECTROLYTE FREEThe free electrolyte, or in liquid form has the characteristic to dissipate the temperature rise in the external environment or by fluctuations of the power grid (ripple). The electrolyte technologyallows free battery operation in high temperature environment or where power quality is low and subject to constant change. However Iit prevents the use of different positions than the usual (poles up).
HIGH TEMPERATURESThe VRLA batteries, that use oxygen recombination technology are extremely sensitive to temperature when compared with the V-APRS batteries and thus require more attention in managing the temperature.Technology VRLA undergoes reduction to 50% of life for every 10 ° C above 25 ° C, compared to2%V-APRS technology.(See comparison chart).

EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ONESTIMATED LIFETIME
GRIDS AND PLATESGrades: They are produced with laminated / expanded technology, and prepared in automated and continuous system where the coils rolled lead are expanded or, depending on the model and application, casted grid.Manufactured to a high standard and lead alloy with Lead-Calcium High tin content providing low electrical resistance, minimum water consumption, higher corrosion resistance at high and high temperatures resistance to cycling. Signs: Produced with high-density active material and additives of last generation which facilitate chemical reactions optimizing power supply.
THERMAL AVALANCHEOne of the main consequences of the operation at high temperatures is the phenomenon called “ThermalAvalanche”. It is the thermal runaway condition in which the heat generation exceeds battery capacity and installation nvironment dispel it. If this condition persists for a long period, the battery will suffer accelerated loss of water, increasing the load current, and deformation of the container. The V-APRS battery Tudor technology AGA stationary filter allows for greater heat dissipation through free electrolyte (in liquid form) and system retention of the particles entrained acid during electrolysis (Condensation chamber and filter A.G.A.). In VRLA batteries, reduced volume of the electrolyte and oxygen recombination process accelerate heat generation. If operated in conditions abnormal (high ambient temperature, overload, etc.), VRLA batteries raise the temperature to levels at which the battery is unable to dispel it. Under these conditions, the battery temperature VRLA increase as to deform the containers and tear them, disabling the battery.
RIPPLEVariation of current and voltage is called ripple. Depending on the ripple frequency battery internal temperature will rise and must be dissipated failing to take the battery to come into “ThermalAvalanche”.In this case again the technology free electrolyte has an advantage because it is able to dissipate the rise ripple caused by the temperature instead of technology electrolyte absorbed or immobilized in general. Besides it has optional system for channeling the gases generated in these conditions.
