What can we do to keep children safe?

• Don’t stop your child using the internet, have conversations with them

• Explore online together• Know who your child is talking to• Set rules and agree boundaries just like you would in the real

world• Make sure the content is age appropriate• Use parental controls – filter, restrict, monitor and report• Check they know how to use privacy settings and reporting

tools• Keep equipment in a family space

In School

• Continue to work with children to raise awareness of online safety and good online behaviours

• Focus on Cyber Bullying and how to deal with issues concerns

• Support children and parents through issues and concerns

• Change our cyber agreement to focus on both online behaviour in school and at home
