Steering Damper Installation Instructions Tools required: 13mm & 17mm Spanners Mount the long damper brackets on the passenger side of the chassis with the long bolts supplied. They clamp the chassis with the longest one on the outside. Before tightening the bracket make sure it is moved forward until it barely touches the chassis cross member tube, this will ensure the damper is in a linear operation of the steering rod. For ease of installation the next step is to mount the steering rod bracket (left in picture) onto the damper and the damper assembly onto the bracket on the right. Turn your steering wheel full lock to the left hand side. Make sure your damper is now compressed and extend it by about 3cm outwards before mounting the the left hand side bracket onto the front steering rod of the vehicle with the U bolts supplied. This will make sure you can not bottom out the damper when turning left on full lock. There will be more than enough damper travel when you turn right lock on the steering wheel. After all bolts are securely fastened, the steering damper is now ready for operation.
