Let me express my appreciation for the important contribution you have provided by analysing the 2010 COun{1Y Report on Ukraine . We are constantly optimising our assessment activities and therefore con tructive feedback is of great value to us.

I can assure you that a fair assessment and evaluation of the state of reform implementation in Ukraine is a core interest for us. In this \.:ontext. I especially welcome your detailed comments and updates on the current implementation of reform in Ukraine, notably on the tax legislation , the public procurement law, the environment, energy and in particular the education policy. I have transmitted y ur comments to the colleagues working in the Ukraine team, relevant Commission services as well as to our Delegation in Kyiv . We will duly consider your comments while preparing the country report 20 I I.

At the same time let me flag that in view of the preparations for the country report 20 II. our Delegation in Kyiv is encouraged - as done in previous years - to organise meeting with relevant locally based inlernational organisations, GOs and other stakeho lder. In order to improve the procedure of consideration of public comments and suggestion , we wei ome your idea to organise an intermediat meeting with relevant stakeholders. Colleagues from the Kyiv Delegation will be in touch with you 'hortly.

The rol e of civil society in ollr current undertaking with the Eastern Partnership Countries but also with Ukraine is crucial. I look forward to contin uing our cooperation, on the occasion of the third EaP Civil Society Forum conference which will take place on 28-30 November in Poznan .
