Step by Step Guide for Annual Return by Local Company (For FYE from 31 August 2018)

Step Description

1) Login to www.bizfile.gov.sg

You will be re-directed to the Login Page. For more details, please refer to the step-by-step guide on Login.

2) Select a CSP/Individual Profile.

3) Click on the respective option. This screen is only applicable if the login type is Individual.

4) Click on ‘File eServices’.

5) Select ‘Local Company’.

6) Click on ‘Annual Filing’.

7) Click on ‘Filing of Annual Return by Local Company (For FYE from 31 Aug 2018)’.

8) The checklist page will be displayed.

9) Enter the UEN and click on ‘Next’.

10) The E-Form will be displayed.

11) Verify the Company Information.

12) Select the ‘Company Type During Financial Period Concerned’ from the dropdown (If the company type has changed).

13) Select the ‘Company Type Status (I)’. Mouse-over on the blue icon for details. Please note system would prepopulate values from the previous year filings and allows user to edit the details. If user is filing for the first time then system would prompt user to fill all the mandatory details.

14) Select the appropriate ‘Company Type Status (II)’. This field is only applicable if ‘Exempt Private Company Limited by Shares’ or ‘Unlimited Exempt Private Company’ is selected in Step 12.

15) Check the declaration(s) if applicable.

16) Select the respective radio button for ‘Is Public Company listed on: This option is only applicable if ‘Public Company Limited by Shares’ or ‘Unlimited Public Company’ is selected in Step 12.

17) Enter the ‘Date of Annual General Meeting at which Financial Statements were laid’ in the ‘AGM Details’ section. This is only applicable if 'Public Company Limited by Guarantee’ Or 'Public Company limited by Shares’ Or ‘Unlimited Public Company' is selected in Step 12.

18) Select the appropriate option under AGM details and enter the required date if applicable. (Only applicable if 'Exempt Private Company Limited By Shared’ Or ‘ Private Company Limited by Shares’ Or ‘ Unlimited Exempt Private Company ‘ Or ‘ Unlimited Private Company’ is selected in Step12).

19) Select the ‘Nature of Financial Statements’, attach the respective documents (if needed) and select the directors for the dropdown.

20) In Section C, check the checkbox to confirm that company had audited its financial statements. Then select the ‘Name of Public Accounting Entity that audited the financial statement’ and ‘Name of Auditor who audited and signed off the financial statements’ from the dropdown.

21) Enter the ‘Date of independent auditor’s report’ and select the appropriate radio buttons respectively. This field is applicable only if ‘Public Company Limited By Guarantee ‘is selected in Step 12.

22) Select the director/secretary of the company from the dropdown in the declaration section.

23) Click on ‘Company Details’ tab.

24) Verify the Company Information, Primary/Secondary Activity(ies), Address, Particulars of Company Officer’s and Auditors, Share Capital Details and Member(s) Details.

25) Select the relevant options for ‘Register of Controllers and Nominee Directors’ Section and click ‘Submit’.

26) Verify all the details in the Preview page and click on ‘Confirm’. Otherwise, click on ‘Exit Preview’ to make the necessary changes.

28) The acknowledgment page will be displayed.
