Now open those last folds you did and flip the whole thing over.
It will look like this:
Step eight:
Position paper as shown below. Do you see all the four points that are
meeting at the middle? You will fold each of these back along the
dotted lines shown so that the points stick out beyond the edge a bit.
When you have done the first of these folds it will look like this:
When you complete all four folds it will look like this:
Tip: Do these folds in a clockwise or counterclockwise
direction so that you make sure your are folding the
same amount back with each fold.
Step nine:
Flip it over so it looks like this:
Now you fold the the corners (noted with red dots above) back in
towards the center along the dotted lines shown above (which is along
fold lines that are already there). This will end up tugging the sticking out
triangles upward.
You will have to keep holding the folds down so they don’t keep
unfolding themselves. While you keep them all down with one finger in
the center, use the other finger to really push down in the corners so they
really nestle inside their walled nooks.
It will look like this, but it
might not like this without
your finger on it. It might
still want to pop up a little
at this point.
You are going to not keep it on this side — you are going to flip it back
over. But you will be pulling each of those points that meet at the center
shown above and folding them up so that they stick out and up.
Flip it back over now and pull on each point on the back one at a time so
that it folds up and you can see it sticking up. As you are pulling those
up, you are pushing the center of the flower down a bit, too.
Once they are all up, your flower is done! But if it still keeps wanting to
unfold/pop up pick the whole thing up in your hands and push the
center point down while pulling the sides up a bit until it stays.
Step ten:
On the back you will see this:
