n Four years as the General Manager of Castlemaine Goldfields’ Ballarat Gold Mine. Provided leadership, direction and coaching to the entire company in Australia. Kept mine operating under difficult financial circumstances until the takeover of the parent company in late 2019. State Councillor for Minerals Council of Australia – Victoria. Played a major role in the opposition of the Vic Govt proposed gold royalty.

n Three years as General Manager of Kingsgate’s Challenger Gold Mine. Re-structured operations to return mine to profitability for sale. Extended mine life.

1996 - 1999 Central Norseman Gold Corp - Norseman, WA Underground Manager – Harlequin Mine n Underground Manager of 100kt/y, 45k.oz/y narrow vein gold mine. n Responsible for all aspects of the mines operation including safety, production, development, cost,

environment, exploration, budgeting, planning and scheduling. n Supervision of 7 CNCG technical staff and approx 45 contractor personnel. n Mine achieved approx 1,300 days LTI Free and over 1 year MTI Free. n Increased ore reserves with a diamond-drilling program. n Scoping and tendering of a 3 year $35 million mining contract. n Developed blind uphole longhole rising technique for use at Norseman. n Integrated benching and cemented rockfill into longhole stoping. n Developed justification for development and mining of Harlequin West orebody (approx 500 m

from existing mine).

1996 Olympic Dam Mine - Roxby Downs, SA Mine Production Engineer n Managed production activities from the 3.1 Mtpa sublevel open stoping Olympic Dam Mine.

1995 - 1996 Olympic Dam Mine - Roxby Downs, SA Backfill Engineer n Responsible for the running of the mine’s Cemented Aggregate Fill (CAF) Plant. n Responsible for contractor management, costs, quality, scheduling and timely placement of CAF. n Set up a limestone quarry to feed fill plant after the mine mullock dumps had been exhausted.

1995 Olympic Dam Mine - Roxby Downs, SA Assistant Underground Manager n Assisted the Underground Manager in the running of the mine. n General workforce management. n Improved the communication between planning and operational personnel.
