Once in the new collaborate room  Click on the “Talk” button to make sure your microphone is working properly, follow the onscreen prompts (you will only have to set up the microphone once, but will start any future recordings with this step as well  Click on “Load Content” this will be the PPT file you want to record with your lecture  Once the content (PPT file) you’ve selected from your computer/drive/usb device has come in to the collaborate window click “Record” when you begin lecturing and advancing through the slides as you lecture  When you are finished you will need to click “Record” again and then simply exit the collaborate room via File menu and Exit.  The students will be able to access it by going through the Collaborate menu on their D2L course page  To get to the recorded lecture with PPT they will not need to join the room, but use the down arrow to go to the archive of the recording
