Steps in the writing process

The first step is prewriting.

Prewriting is when you think about what you are going to write and maybe jot down some ideas.

The second step is drafting.

Drafting is when you put all your ideas down in paragraph form.

The third step is revising.

Revising is when you look for all the errors.

The fourth step is editing.

Editing is when you correct all the errors you’ve made.

The fifth and final step is finishing/publishing.

Finishing/Publishing is when you either share your work or turn it into the teacher.
