The STI (Science, Technology and Innovation) Policy and Management is a scientific journal discussing theoretical and practical issues in science and technology

policy for economic competitiveness, research and development management and innovation management. The journal welcomes manuscripts from

researchers, academics and practitioners in these areas. The Editor accepts articles and book reviews in STI policy and management. Readers and authors of the

journal are professors, researchers, government officials, industrialists, graduate students and experts who are interested in STI issues. The journal was created

by the Center for S&T Development Studies, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (PAPPIPTEK-LIPI). Two volumes are published in a year ( July and December).

Peer review

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and if found suitable for further consideration, the peer review by at least two

independent, anonynous expert referees. All peer review is double-blind and submission is online via Online Journal System to [email protected].

Funding for this journal has been supported by the Indonesian Government through the Center for S&T Development Studies, Indonesian Institute of Sciences

(PAPPIPTEK-LIPI).

Author Guidelines

The STIP Journal considers all manuscripts on the strict condition, that the manuscript is only submitted to STIPM and it has not been published elsewhere

or not under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. Author who fail to adhere to this condition will be charged with all cost which STIPM

Journal incurs and the paper will not be published. Contributions to STIPM Journal must be an original research and will be subjected to review by referees

at the discretion of the Editorial Office.

Manuscript submission should be made online at www.stipmjournal.org. New users should first create an account. Once logged on to the site, should be

made via the Author Centre. Online user guides and access to a helpdesk are available on this website..

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts electronically or as an email attachements. The Editors do not responsible for loss of papers submitted.

Manuscript preparation

?Manuscripts should be typewritten and they are written in English. Total words for manuscripts range from 6,000 to 8,000, including tables, references,

captions, footprints and endnotes. Lengthty manuscripts (exceed than that) will be critically reviewed with respect to length.

?All pages should be numbered consecutively.

Manuscript should be compiled in the following order :

Title Page should be very clear and short, following with the name(s) of the author(s). Provide the e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers of the

corresponding author. The separate affiliation statement (as a footnote on the first page) for each author listed. This statement should include their

position/title, address, and university affiliations if applicable. It is important that each author has a footnote and no authors share a footnote, even if they

are from the same institution.

Abstract of 150 to 200 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

Keywords, please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

Text Formatting. Manuscripts should be submitted in Word.

?Use Times New Roman as font for titles, headings and subheadings, 16 point and 11-point Times New Roman for text.

?Use the automatic page numbering function to number the pages and the automatic line numbering.

?Use the equation editor or Math Type for equations.

?Figures and Tables will be written as Figure 1 and Table 1 in the text. To identify the part of any element, it should be written as Figure 1(a). Caption lists

for each figure and table should be provided after the references.

?Manuscript has been 'spell-checked' and 'grammar-checked’

?All references mentioned in the Reference list are cited in the text, and vice versa

?Save your file in .docx or .doc format (Word document). Manuscripts with mathematical content can also be submitted in LaTeX.

?For referencing, use APA 6th edition style.

Conclusions. Include a section under the heading "Conclusions" or "Summary and Conclusions" that presents the significant implications of the

information presented in the body of the manuscript.

Acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section before the reference list. The names of funding organizations should

be written in full.

References. Please use APA 6th edition for referencing purposes. Cite references in the text by name and year in parentheses. Some examples:

?Concrete model was developed (Kent & Park, 1990).

?In contrast to the recent study done by Chopra et al. (2012)

?Many studies have been done to model the stress–strain relationships of confined and unconfined concrete (e.g., Hognestad 1951; Kent & Park 1971;

Mander et al. 1988; Saatcioglu&Razvi 1992).

Reference list should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and

unpublished works should only be mentioned in the text. Do not use footnotes or endnotes as a substitute for a reference list.
