Abstract (Document Summary)
The owner of two pit bull terriers that fatally mauled a graduate student last month has contacted Kane County officials and is hoping to regain custody
of his dogs, officials said Wednesday.
Kane County State's Attorney J. Patrick Jaeger said Kennedy called him Tuesday after officials were unable to serve him with a complaint seeking the
dogs' destruction.
A judge on Friday said Kennedy could be formally served with the complaint by legal notices the county will publish in newspapers this week. Jaeger
said another hearing will be held within 30 days of publication to determine the fate of the dogs.Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission.
