2015
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Scotland National Tournament Turnberry, 22 April
England National Tournament Stoke Park, 30 April
Event Overview
The World Corporate Golf Challenge is the biggest corporate golf tournament in the world.
Founded in 1993 in the UK in association with The Times newspaper, over one million golfers have since competed
across the globe for the chance to represent their company and country at the World Final.
The event is now an international network of national amateur golf tournaments promoted and run independently by
country licensees in association with local national print media and corporate sponsor partners. Since 2007,
following acquisition by Spanish company OM Sports, there has been an objective to increase the number of
countries where the event is played – 29 countries qualified for the 2014 World Final and this is expected to grow to
40 countries by the time of the 2015 World Final.
The 2013 World Final was hosted at Loch Lomond in Scotland and was won by a Scottish team from Rolls Royce
PLC. The 2014 World Final was hosted at La Reserva de Sotogrande in Spain and was won by a team from
Sweden. The 2015 World Final will be held between 30 June and 5 July on The Oitavos Dunes Golf Course in
Cascais, Portugal – the course is ranked as no. 2 in mainland Europe.
The clear strategy between World Corporate Golf Challenge and Elysian Golf is to build a tournament operating at a
high level of quality, revisiting the original tenets of the event, namely to provide companies with a platform that will
help enhance relationships both internally (incentives, communications, human resources etc) and externally
(clients, suppliers etc).
For 2015, the intention is to hold separate National Finals in Scotland and England with the winning teams from the
two countries qualifying for the 2015 World Final. For 2016 and beyond, the aim is to introduce qualifying
tournaments in each country with corporate teams “making the cut” to compete at the National Final for Scotland or
England as appropriate and have the chance to make it through to the World Final.

In addition to the golf elements, Elysian Golf provides a full “wrap around” concierge service.
Elysian Golf is a member of IAGTO, the global trade organisation for the golf tourism industry, and is a
preferred supplier to Virtuoso, a ‘by-invitation-only’ network of luxury travel suppliers.
Scotland Venue – Trump Turnberry Resort
Home to the iconic Ailsa, an Open Championship course four times over, Trump Turnberry Resort offers one of
the world's great golfing experiences in Scotland. Watson, Norman and Price have all won the famous Claret
Jug at Turnberry and, in 2009, Stewart Cink added his name to that exclusive list following his play-off triumph
over Tom Watson at the 138th Open.
Ailsa is regularly ranked in the top five courses in the UK & Ireland in the rankings provided by Golf Monthly, and
is also legendary for the famous “Duel in the Sun” between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus.
England Venue – Stoke Park
Stoke Park’s famous 27 hole championship golf course is undisputedly one of the finest parkland courses in
the country. The 300 acre Buckinghamshire estate was created by eminent golf architect Harry Colt and has
been the inspiration for many of the world’s most famous holes, including Augusta’s infamous 16th.
The course itself has seen many impressive rounds in its prestigious history including the first PGA Matchplay
tournament in 1910 and James Bond’s epic golfing duel in the 1964 classic, 007 movie “Goldfinger”. Along
with this, Stoke Park boasts a number of fantastic practise facilities including putting green, driving range, short
game area and state-of-the-art swing studio.
