OUR COMPANY

The tank system was developed more than 50 years ago on the

basis of steel plates in a medium format (1.25 x 2.0 m). In 1999,

the system was extended to a larger format of steel plates (1.5

x 3.0 m) and now in 2018 to super-sized steel plates (2.0 x 4.0

m). The larger format reduces the number of bolting rows and

thus enables a reduction in the number of joints and thus more

efficient assembly.

Today, farmatic is the quality brand for bolted steel tanks in

modular design. The farmatic tank systems has been success-

fully implementing tank projects for agricultural, municipal and

industrial applications for more than 50 years and since 2018

has been part of the Eggersmann Group, a global player. Many

years of experience in the development, design and construc-

The use of modern CAD/CAM technology ensures a constant quality of the material. Each individual steel panel is thoroughly tested

for pores, micro fractures and other faults in the material in accordance with the strict DIN-Norm EN 15282. Enamelled steel panels

Epoxy coated steel panels

The tank surface is protected from corrosion by means of a

proprietary factory-applied epoxy powder coating. The carbon

steel core provides structural integrity of our tanks even under

extreme loads and conditions offering an impressive cost/per-

formance ratio for large storage tanks.

Stainless steel tanks

Bolted steel tanks made of galvanized steel are a cost-effective

solution for water tanks in fire fighting systems. The tanks are

delivered as turnkey solution, including all necessary pipework

and flange connections to ensure the functionality and safety

of sprinkler systems.

Galvanized tanks

farmatic bolted steel tanks with volumes of up to 20,000 m³

can be erected without the need for cumbersome scaffolding

or construction cranes. The first ring segment of our tanks is

assembled on the flat concrete foundation. After completion,

the ring segment is then lifted up by means of a jacking system

and the second segment ring is installed underneath the first

one. This way, our tanks are assembled starting with the roof,

allowing us to maintain safe working conditions for the assem-

bly of the tank and the roof and to achieve extremely short

construction times.

The edge protection is a stainless steel edge profile to protect the enamel edge on the inside of

the enamelled steel plates.

• Protection against thermal attacks (otherwise tmax = 40 °C)

• Protection against mechanical attacks (abrasion)

• Protection against chemical attack (organic acids, benzoles)

With this strip, which now has the registered brand name „f-protect ©“, the fields of application

of the enamelled tanks can be extended. These are, for example; hydrolyses with low pH values,

containers with glass chippings or sand and the thermophilic gas exchange zone in digesters.

CSR-FERMENTERKNOW-HOW

The farmatic CSTR-DIGESTER design is based on the concept of vertically agitated CSTR (conti-

nuous stirred-tank reactor) bioreactors. This state-of-the-art digester system stands out by

combining optimal process control and high quality individual components with a variety of

upgrading options.

CSTR-DIGESTER are suitable not only for AD systems for manure and energy crops, but also for

organic waste materials from food processing or organic wastewater from breweries, ethanol

production or palm oil mills. A slightly modified version of the CSTR-DIGESTER is used as anaero-

bic reactor in many wastewater treatment plants.

CSTR-DIGESTERs can be operated under both mesophilic and thermophilic conditions. The com-

plete and constant mixing of the substrate guarantees an optimal biological environment for

complete anaerobic digestion and gas production.

The CSTR-DIGESTER system is based on factory-coated farmatic bolted steel tanks. The tank wall

is extremely resistant to corrosion and abrasion with formidable structural stability. The CSTR-DI-

GESTER gas room is made from stainless steel or high performance enamel.

a gas holder. A center column made from stainless steel provides stability. The inner membrane consists of a polyethylene fabric

covered by PVC/PU on both sides. The external membrane made from polyester fabric is coated with a flame retardant and PVC

finish in accordance with DIN 4102 B1. A centrifugal air blower maintains a constant pressure for the roof construction. Highly effi-

cient side-entry stirrers ensure that the substrate and nutrients are distributed evenly in the digester.
