Stories of the Prophets-Prophet Adam a.s.

Allah made the mountains and the seas.He made the heavens and the stars. He made all the animals. He made the sun and the moonand He made the angels. Then Allah decided to make a man.

The first human to be created by Allah was the Prophet Adam (a.s).Dust was shaped into a clay figure by Allah. Then Allah breathed the soul into Adam.

After Allah breathed the soul into Adam, Allah swt taught Adam the names of all things.

After Adam was created, the angels who are made out of light and the jinn who are made out of fire were ordered by Allah to prostrate before Adam all together as a sign of respect. Iblis who was a jinn refused to prostrate before Adam. When Allah asked him why he did not prostrate, Iblis answered Him that he was better than Adam because he had been created out of fire and Adam out of clay.

Due to the pride of Iblis, Allah ordered him to get out of paradise. The Iblis then asked Allah if he would allow him to live until the Day of Judgment so that he may mislead the human beings from the straight path. Allah granted him his wish as a test to the human beings.

Allah let Adam live in a beautiful place. The place was called Paradise. It was a very nice place but Adam was a little lonely, on his own all of the time. Allah decided to help Adam. He made Hawa to be Adam's wife. They were happy and liked living in Paradise.

There was, however, one thing they were not allowed to do. There was a special tree and Allah had told them they must not eat any fruit from that tree. At first Adam and Hawa were very good and kept away from the tree. Shaytan decided to do something very naughty. He told them they were silly to keep away from the tree. He said nothing would happen if they ate its fruit. He said the fruit was delicious and they should try it.

After a while they began to listen to Shaytan and thoughtthey would have just a little taste of the fruit, just to seewhat it was like. Shaytan was very happy becausehe had made them disobey Allah. As soon as they had eatenthe fruit, Adam and Hawa realized that they had beenvery bad by not listening to Allah and they felt guilty for what they had done. They were very sorry and asked Allah to forgive them. Allah forgave them but He wouldn't let themstay in Paradise any more. So He sent them to live on earth.

Allah warned Adam that those who followed Allah would go to Jannah, while those who disobeyed Allah would have bad punishment. Allah has warned us to be always aware of the Shaytan who is our worst enemy. He also guided us to keep shaytan away by always remembering Allah.
