A graduate student at lowa State College, Allies, Iowa, Miss Barbour received the $1,000 award dur- ing the national convention of the American Die- tetic Association in Cleveland, Ohio, Sam 11 . Ambrister, '31-'34, Oklahoma '34 City, died November 10 in Will Rogers Veterans Hospital following a two- months illness. He was vice-president and assistant executive director of the Teamsters Union Local 880. Ambrister became interested in union work in 1938 and worked his way up through the ranks. During the last war, he served with the Fifth In- fantry Division in Europe and was wounded dur- ing the invasion of Germany . Survivors include his wife and slaughter of the home, and his parents of Norman . Dr . Forest E . Brown, '34bs, '36med, has been named director of the Seminole County Health I De partment. Mrs. J . W. "Dub" Wheeler, wife of for- 3 mer Norman chief of police, J. W. "Dub" Wheeler, '30-'36, was killed November 11 in a highway accident in Louisiana .
