After that awesome end of the year I was plain wore out. We had greatswims from C-Finals all the way to State Finals. At each and every meet we had new besttimes new team records (53% of the team records were set this winter) and kids havingmore fun than I can remember having. I took immense pride in seeing this club become ateam this year, and I want that feeling to keep going. Keep cheering for your teammates,
keep challenging them in workouts, and most important, remember to keep this sport fun.
This spring the Storm will be hosting two meets. One meet will be at Kenwood Trailon the 7th and 8th of May and the other at Hidden Oaks on the 14th and 15th of May. Weinitially had reservations about the back to back meet weekends, but we had several clubscontact us asking for us to run the additional meet as they love the job we do. Afterthinking it through this will be exactly what we want, meets that are close for our athletesto participate in, but also allows them to swim in front of their communities where we
always have a little more heart in our races.
The spring will also mark the end of Coach Craig’s tenure with the Storm, we thankhim for all the passion and leadership that he brought with him, and he will be surelymissed. With that we welcome Coach Jenna Lund to the program, she will be starting upduring March Training to become accustomed to the groups and the facilities that we
utilize. I urge you all to introduce yourself to her when you get an opportunity.

Storm is hosting TWO Swim Meets in May. Storm Invite May 7 & 8th at
Kenwood Trail and Storm ABC Open May 14 & 15th at Hidden Oaks.
WE REALLY NEED HELP FOR BOTH MEETS.
Volunteer sign up information will be emailed shortly. Volunteer sign up
can be completed ONLINE at [email protected], and this will fulfill your
families Spring Session Volunteer commitment.

MAINTENANCE 2x’s per wk $160.00
MASTERS 2x’s per wk $30/mo
* All accounts must be paid and current before your swimmer can resume membership
with the club. Swimmers with unpaid accounts at Fall Registration will NOT be allowed in
the water until full payment has been received. Please contact Chuck Smith at
[email protected] if you have any questions regarding your account.
The MSI Annual Fee is $35.00 (covers Insurance, dues to MN Swimming & USA
Swimming, Zero goes directly to the club ). This is due at time of Registration , and is not
included in the session fees.
A separate check of $75.00 for the VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT, is also due at time of
registration. Per the Parent Handbook ,this check will be returned at the end of the
session, if you have fulfilled your volunteer commitment.
There is a 15% discount for the 2nd, and 25% for the 3rd, 4th etc. swimmers from the
same family.

12 & Under/13 & Over Combined Team Places 4th Overall – Top Storm Team Finish
Top 16 individual finishers and point earners for the Storm included:
Highlight performances included Paul Sadergaski winning four individual events in the Boys 11-12 age group. In addition,the 11-12 Storm Boys group won 2 relay events. Brianna Alexander, Elizabeth Kleiner win individual State Championships.
