With this application, John Deere field teams can meet the market challenges of being mobile and having access to important and up-to-date sales information and documentation online and offline, anywhere, anytime. Sales preparation time decreased from weeks to minutes. The Solution In order to correspond with the current trend of becoming mobile and agile with and within its business, John Deere was looking for a mobile solution to support its sales business processes. The solution should be flexible enough to integrate complex, multi-media documentation into a mobile application and automati- cally synchronize it with every document update in the database. It should be accessible to all sales representatives, online and offline, at any time and place. It should also be able to distinguish between internal and external sales representatives, be available in several languages and differentiate content per country. At the same time, the solution should be flexible enough to expand the application with future features and developments, and be able to run on Android, as well as iOS-operated devices. The John Deere management wanted to be able to change the application content independently from the app developer. Finally, the solution must support John Deere’s high enterprise security standards. The “Salesman Application” developed by Movilizer was able to meet John Deere’s expectations and even exceeded them by going from blueprint to go-live with the pilot in roughly 8 weeks, thanks to its smart modular system. The complete application, not out-of-the-box, but specifically designed to John Deere’s needs, was rolled out 9 months later. It included every relevant sales information such as product range, specs, videos and documentation, pricing and combination of products and parts, as well as an ordering system and delivery details – available in different languages. John Deere implemented the application in Germany, UK and France. Sales representa- tives were able to show videos, brochures, flyers and powerpoints of the newest tractors and harvesters to their customers without any need for extra training or change management. “Our field teams benefit from the new application. SMART SALES SUPPORT

The three application solutions based on Movilizer’s cloud-based platform, enabled John Deere to gain time, replace paper forms and manual updates of documentation and orders. By offering to work with modern mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) they could increa-se the motivation of its sales represen-tatives. “With the Salesmen App we were able to address the mobility demand and the need to facilitate and speed up sales processes, while at the same time making sales processes more efficient, accurate and complete.“ - Stefan Muegge.

• The “Front Loader Configurator”, a smart tool to assist with information and adjustment of all front loader options for a chosen product. Together with the customer, the sales representative can now go through the adjustments and include them immediately in the order.

• In the “Baler Cost Calculator”, sales representatives can compare John Deere balers with other brands in front of the customer. The higher ROI of a John Deere baler convinces the customer to the final order.

• A “Model Release Form” application that organises the granting of permissions for the online and offline usage rights of customer photos. Through this appli-cation, John Deere can manage the legal aspects of its promotional material faster and more efficient.

Deere & Company - commonly known as John Deere - is one of the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment and a major U.S. producer of construc-tion, forestry and lawn & grounds care equipment. The company has factories throughout the world and distributes its products in more than 160 countries through independent retail dealers - nearly 5,000 sales representatives worldwide.

• A “Lead Management” application, which is mainly used during fairs and conferences to register all potential leads, including their information details and description of interest.
